Default Hellpup AK47 Pistol...

Saw this add for an ak47 pistol. Anyone bought one of these or use and have any feedback...good, bad or ugly?

Royal Tiger Imports is listing it for $670.

Why is it so cheap...must be what you pay for. My LGS is selling similar looking for almost twice the price.

Haha, me too.

Looks like a DRACO with a rail. For that price, I'm betting you are paying for the "Made in the USA" stamp, not much more...

How can I tell the difference from an IO and what my LGS has?

Looks like a slightly modded Draco with a super-crazy name!

I like mine better - it's the DanteCerberusManBearPig!

LGS would most likely be a DRACO, or DRACO C. Will say it on the reciever. Import marks will be on the side under the charging handle, and on the front of the mag well

I saw that on Atlantic Firearms for $650 but they charge $40 to put a bullet button on.
I like my Draco. With MI hardware, Noveske pig and Vinz sling.

Is the Noveske pig worth the cost on the Draco?

Do not buy an I.O. product I promise you, you will regret it!!!!! They aren't worth the cardboard they are shipped in. Use the search feature and see how many people dislike I.O. including myself.

$670 plus shipping and FFL fees is far from cheap for an AK pistol. It sounds more like the one at your LGS is just way overpriced or has a lot of expensive mall ninja crap on it. A decent AK pistol can be found for less than $670 OTD if you look around a bit. Remember that furniture is easy to change so, just look for the barrel length, type of gas block, sight block, etc. that you want. Changing a grip and hand gaurds will change the look but not how it functions.

ak pistols are fun to shoot but have absolutely no purpose. what you really need is a psl pistol, its a gun and flamethrower all in one. Whoever says they dont need that is a liar.

Stay away from Hell Pup... Anything made by IO is not GTG in my book. A friend of mine got an IO AK (i warned him not to but he never listens). The rivet holes started to become oblong and the rivets came dangerously close to popping off. He sent it back to IO under warranty twice and each time they told him it was fixed. Needless to say, it was clearly not fixed both times and the rifle is still at IO Inc. He bought the rifle 2 months ago....

Just read another thread here outlining how these IO Hell Pups are crap. Caveat emptor. Crappy rivets and receiver are pretty hard to fix and you shouldn't have to anyway.

Yup I got mine in the beginning of the week put of dros , took it to the range and the dust cover won't stay on ?? It doesn't even fit the gun??? The front rivets look like they are not even touching the reciever ??? And the finish is the worst I have ever seen !!! And I have seen Mu fair share ! I sent it back to io yesterday told them they can keep that garbage and to give me back a full refund !!! I'm building a ar pistol in 7.62x39 instead
