Default Need help with a 22 conversion for 1911, fits but won't slide any smiths?

I have a taurus pt1911 and I picked up a wilson combat 22 conversion for it. The slide fits on the frame, but will not slide. I removed the firing pin block and it still will not rack, and I can't seem to find what is stopping it from sliding. Is there anyone who has any ideas on something that I am missing? Are there any gunsmiths around the bay area that can take a look at it and see if it is something that can be modified to fit right?

Added note, I am pretty sure it is not a stationary kit... The way it is designed the slide would have to move to put the rounds into battery.

Does the slide only stick when the slide stop is inserted? On my Kimber 1911 with kimber conversion, I found that the "barrel link" was manufactured a tad too tight and literally held the slide down against the frame. A small bit of emery cloth and a few minutes of handwork had everything functioning.

I know, different manufacture on all accounts, but just an idea.

Is this the type of conversion where the slide itself is stationary and a bolt or other portion is the item that cycles? If so the slide isn't supposed to move at all...that's why it's accurate.

EDIT: It may help if you post a picture. I guess WC has contracted with BOTH Ciener and Marvel for their .22 conversions and I have heard about some PT1911 issues and others without. I just don’t know if which wilson kit it was with.

Is there a particular part or point that is sticking?

It is supposed to slide, the pin is not the problem and I cant seem to find a point where it is hitting although it has to be somewhere. I believe it is an older marvel model kit. I am hoping that I can find someone to take a look at it. It could be something stupid and I am just not seeing it. I even pulled the barrel and recoil spring and removed the hammer and it still will not slide. I am out of ideas at the moment but giving up is not in my nature.
