This is from Mossberg:
Key features that set this model apart are a barrel heat-shield and a unique, solid aluminum, ported muzzle stabilizer, which not only reduces recoil and muzzle jump but comes drilled and tapped to accept the Mossberg Picatinny rail system, thus allowing the operator to attach an assortment of aftermarket lighting or aiming devices.

Default My old Star Gauge 12 SxS

When I was young, I was shooting this shotgun and I blew a hole threw the right barrel. Dont really know how I did it. It blew at 18 inches (lucky). Its been a good home protection gun.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement barrel for this?

Ok good
that appears to be an old Remington 870 police shotgun that someone cut down and filed paper work for a SBS(short barrel shotgun)

if you are asking questions like the ones you are asking
and no they are not bad questions at all mind you but you will not be owning one here in CA

I think that is a class 3 dealer item only here in CA

Yeah. Everything about that screams short barreled Remington 870.

Very nice looking gun. Too bad its illegal or at the very least just not worth the paperwork and fees.

Why 922r compliant? What's the make/model? And why is the stock pinned?

Mossberg 500 Cruiser. Side saddle, rail, heat shield and vertical Tommy gun style grip. The side saddle is loaded with Pitbull rounds. If you haven't heard of them, check them out. Nasty stuff. I don't plan on putting an optic on it but the rail was only an extra five bucks with the other stuff I ordered so I picked it up. Gives it a more complete look I think.

I've been thinking of getting a light but don't want to break the bank doing so. Anyone have any suggestions?

870 SBS. Illegal for the most part fiddy.

You can tell by the trigger pins, forend design and the trigger guard. Probably a wing master.

Picked up my 870 today. Threw in a new extractor and latch spring then swapped out the stock set for a Hogue Overmold Shortshot 12" LOP stock and forend.

Taking her out tomorrow to see how she runs.

So what's the verdict? Do you like the stock? How does it run/feel under live fire?

Default My 1st shotgun fresh out out the box

My virgin Remington 870 synthetic Express with ext. mag !
I havn't noticed this configuration in any shop or catalog.
I love exerything about it. Some people hate that forend. The forend fits my hand so perfectly on both sides. Notice how far back I can comfortly hold it. And when you quickly grab for it your hand just slides into place,no hangups or snags. The Mag holds 8 so that's going to be great for using the 4X4 shell holders (8 shells in a holder as big as your palm) for reloading. So I found out the mag tip I have is recessed to hold a bayonet!?*
Should I get one, or just weld a holesaw to that tip?
This will be used for Home Defence and Targets. I want something on the front that I could ram into walls, doors, heads, or hit the ground and not damage the barrel. Also thinking of a light and I found the cleanest tightest to the barrel clamp made by ; CDMGear.com. It's the MOD-C and the FAB 1" defence speedlight makes a perfect fit. Best clamps I've seen anywhere.
I'm going to put the Supercell pad on the butt , why beat myself up?
Well that's my baby, I think I'll go dry practice. I feel like a kid on X-Mas.

Very happy with it! Put a couple hundred rounds thru and it ran well. Couple FTE but seems fairly common with the Winchester bulk target ammo.

The stock feels much better than the one that comes on the 870. The Hogue forend is also a lot more comfortable. Well worth the purchase.

KandiRedCoi,nice TRIO, I like that butt stock on your SG alot. Is that palm area rubber grip? And is that a supercell recoil pad? What did it cost you? I would like a rubber type grip on the textured parts of my stock & forend .<< couch>> your rifle looks unique with that forend, and has that mean leathal look. ..I like it alot.
