Default Bushnell Elite OR Burris Fullfield?

Hello,

I need some opinion and reviews on these 2 scopes I've narrowed down to, a Bushnell Elite 3200 or Burris Fullfield 3-9x40mm. Which one holds zero better? Which has one overall better qualities?

I'm using it for:
1. The occasional recreational hunting (probably 2-4 times a year)
2. Plinking at the range at about 100-300 yards
3. I'm not using this for competition

Would a fixed lens like Bushnell 10x40 suit me better? Not too many people on this forum mentioned the Bushnell Legend or Banner scopes. Are they any good?

Thanks in advance guys.

I have a Burris Fullfield II in 4.5x14. I think that it's a heck of a scope for the money. The optical quality surprised me and I really like their varminter reticle.

I do not have any personal experience with either but we have heard great feedback from customers who bought the Fullfield II.

I have the Fullfield II 3-9x40 on my Savage and have never had any troubles with it holding zero.

Both companies have pretty good reputations, and I think either will suit you fine for your purposes unless you happen to plink with a .50 BMG.

Nope, I've been shooting it on my varminter OLL since January of 2006 and haven't adjusted it once since I sighted it in.

For what it's worth, I love my Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14. It's more than enough to get out 2-300 yards.

I've actually owned both. Both really good. One absolutely GREAT. Sold the really good one & still have the GREAT (FF II) ONE on my main hunting rifle (Remington 700 XCR 7mm Magnum). The Fullfield I have is U.S.-made; has a lighted reticle ("LRS" series) w/ a BallisticPlex ret. Can't praise this scope enough. Oh, and it was just a little over $400.

I have an Elite 4200 6-24x with a mildot reticle on my .223 Remington 700 target rifle, and I've been able to go out to 400 yards with no problems.

Having said that, my next scope will most likely be a Fullfield II for my AR-15 target rifle.

Thanks guys....

After all the vouches on this thread, I'm confident to go with the Burris FF II. I currently have the Simmons (POS) and after 10 or so shot, it shifts. I should've invested money in a good scope from the beginning. I'm now downgrading the simmons to my airsoft rifle, which works great so far (no recoil...haha).
