Default eBay revised policy allowing gun parts again

Forgive me if this is a duplicate. I searched and didn't see anything.

I just noticed today that eBay has changed its policy regarding gun parts. They are once again allowing magazines (10 rounds or less), barrels, bolts, slides, triggers, etc.

When did this happen?

Quote from the listing guidelines

The following gun parts and accessories are allowed on the eBay US site only. The seller must be in the US and offer domestic shipping only:
En bloc clips
Barrels
Bolts
Choke tubes
Cylinders
Firing pins
Hammers
Magazines with a capacity to accept 10 rounds or less (high-capacity magazines that can accept more than 10 rounds are not allowed)
Slides
Trigger assemblies

They may not be strapped for cash by any means, but I think they see the success of gunbroker, and the cgn marketplace

What can I say? Money talks.

The magazine limit is probably due to eBay's CA heritage. I am aware of their reputation of being anti-gun, however. I wonder what their policies would be regarding rebuild kits though.

Probably the business revenues have declined and they noticed how everyone and their dog are "armoring" up for the coming apocalypse. They want to get some of that prepper $$.

Agreed.

eBay is probably just trying to get a piece of that estimated 1.5 million firearms sold in December alone.

Screw them.

It will be interesting if Paypal is used for these newly allowed items. Instant account closure if you use Ebay's "preferred" payment method!

PayPal can bite me. I use their system as much as possible to buy gun parts. If they shut down another account of mine, I'll just open a new one, again.

It specifically says "magazines." A rebuild kit is just parts so they should be fine I'm assuming.

They just limited (froze) our Santa Cruz Armory account just for having guns for sale on our web site... Trying to get them to remove the limitation. Bastages!

I buy cheap stuff on ebay such as QD swivels, HK Snaphooks, Hogue grips, Perace grips and stuff of that sort. If they can sell fake Lacoste and Burberry I'm sure some people will attempt selling fake p-mags and other gun accessories while saying it's the real deal. I'm always extra cautious about buying expensive items on ebay, I rather not do it.

I'm wondering the same thing, a while back ebay wasn't allowing money orders anymore, everything had to be done through PP, don't know if they're allowed again.

Yep, they'll have to buy every citizen in the U.S. a free gun to make up for their past mis-deeds before I will use them for anything, ever. PayPal too.

They're doing it because they've lost a lot of business to amazon and other sites with their ****ty policies over the past few years.

Just about all of my online purchases have been through amazon past few years, because theres more variety usually, and the prices are competitive with ebay's.

Ebay has been getting less popular. They need to win their merchants back.

They also need to cut back on their rake for sales. 9% is what Feebay takes plus an additional 3% from Paypal.

Glad they got their head out of their arse and allow more gun parts. Maybe it will help to bring prices of things down a bit.

I still don't see why anyone would want to use ebay except for possibly more visibility. But the fees are so disgustingly high! I haven't bothered buying or selling there for years now
