Nothing they can charge him with.

Stolen Valor cases that have been elevated into the courts have generally been against people who use the bought medals for personal financial or social status gain, and the courts recently ruled in favor of someone having the right to play dress up with a uniform and medals that they did not earn.

I've said it here before and I'll say it again.
If a guy wants to be a bad** that much I say he gets put on a M-123 Tactical Short bus and sent to any one of the places he talks about getting one of those medals.
Give him all of the weapons and gear(that take countless hours of sitting in hot-sun baked bleachers, pinched fingers and arse chewings to learn how to use) Take that M-123 Tactical Short bus, load it with all of those weapons and gear necessary to be a one man bad**ed killing force to be reckoned with. Put 5 gallons of diesel in the Tactical Short bus and give the kid a map.

Good luck to him..

We had a kid when I was in the 187th at Campbell that had two different sets of class A's. One set was the ones he wore back home (Special Forces tab, Ranger tab, Airborne tab, 6 lines of awards/ribbons, Airborne wings, Air Assault wings, an EIB, a ton of sh*t I could be here all day listing) anyway he was a boot, straight from AIT. Well we did a Class A inspection on a Monday morning and this knuckle head had spent the weekend at home (Ohio IIRC) and forgot his real set and brought his PX Warrior set. As his team leader I caught a ton of hell, which trickled down to him. The end result was a pair of Class A's muddied beyond recognition burning in a barrel, with a very, very sore and tired boot Pvt. so dehydrated he couldn't even blink (his words not mine).

Did anyone check out the link? Its pretty obvious that this guy is not all there. All the tough talkers can calm down - unless all the "*** kicking" talk makes you feel like you are impresssing someone.

There seems to be many of these knuckleheads who impersonate servicemen.

These idiots were all prosecuted federally.

nick androwski isnt impersonating a serviceman, he did his time as a loadmaster, hes impersonating a higher paygrade and awards he didnt merit. this type of impersonation is more rampant than your average diddy bopper off the block with no service connection, and in my opinion worse.

Agreed.

There's a big difference between someone who is a couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal playing "dress up" and someone who knows better pulling the same crap.

Sadly, some of the guys who know better are sharp enough to pull it off because they know what they need to know to field the inevitable questions.

I searched all day long and could not find any substantial evidence to prove this, everything pointed back to the same link that was posted here. Where did you get this from?

I'm still saying this guy is just a plain loon.

Here's more of the back story - including some first hand comments on the encounter.

Posers who wear ribbons they did not earn should spend some time jail.

Sweet Jeebus, read this the first go round on Socnet. Us zoomies don't have many posers but when we do they go big. Definite 5149 1/2 case.

When I was in the Corps I worked for some true Hero’s. One thing I noticed about them was that they never bragged about what they had done, and none felt the need to impress anyone. The easiest way to spot a poser is when they try to impress you with their hero status.

Actually, I believe there were some Silver Tridents given out during Vietnam. I cant tell you for what because I forget, but an actual froggy told me this so I'm pretty sure he's right.
