...you haven't jumped out of a perfectly good airplane at 1000' in the middle of the night with an AR strapped to your side.

if you can't complete a function check after disassembly/reassembly.
if you wonder why after you've zeroed in at 25 meters/yards you're hitting high at 100 meters/yards.
if you mount optics on a non-ff handguard and wonder why your zero shifts (eotech, aimpoint, etc.)
