I like it, how does the clone work at the range? I was waiting for primary arms to come out with their version of my micro clone but I still do not see it on their site. Where did you get that one at?

Heres mine, hope it was worth the wait.

Its a stainless flat side barrel with TS pic rail and fiber optic front sight. The front sight had to be milled on the bottom to allow for space due to the pin in the barrel. The optic is the Primary Arms Micro Dot. I have had it out once but ran into some issues with the first sight TS sent, I believe it was the low version and it did not work correctly, it constantly shot too low even with the adjustable rear sight adjusted down all the way. So I had to get another front sight and have a buddy re-mill that one...

I have not had it out to the range yet but the red dot sure seems like it will look well. No problems acquiring target quickly with both eyes open. As long as it will zero and hold it should be perfect for the buckmark

when i was at the shot show i saw the buckmarks at the TS booth and all i can say is WOW!! Its just amazing how light the gun is, im deffinitly going to get my hands on one soon. They had both the ruger and the browning and I thought the browning was a much nicer gun. It had a nicer feel and look to it. Before i saw a TS upgraded buckmark, I was decided on the ruger but now i am all for the browning for sure.

i started out with a standard slab-sided barrel (rescued from a gunsmiths parts bin for $30). i machined a dovetail on the underside of the barrel to accept various underlugs.

Those BuckMarks are really extraordinary.
Are you going to make any of those parts available to us mere mortals?

Please?

You should - they're great guns. I've got a URX Buckmark Lite (seen here with my Nikon red-dot scope) and I love it -- you can just plink the whole damn day away. Get a magazine loader and some steel targets, and you can eliminate an entire brick of .22lr in no time...

here is my buckmark 2.0 it started life in 1994 as model field and target 5.5 w/ 5.5 inch heavy bull barrel w/ full length sight rib, walnut contour grips topped with a burris 4x scope. it now is a much lighter version w/ tactical solutions 5.5 barrel, alumagrips, williams adjustable contrast fiber optic sights and i finally painted over that cheesy gold trigger.

Did someone ask for BuckMark photos? I love this.....the target grips are superb in my hand. I have thousands upon thousands of rounds thru her.

This is a 1990's Browning BuckMark Target (or sometimes called the Silhouette). Love the weight of this. The high scope mount allows me to use the open target sights if I so choose.

Default Guess what my next purchase will be?

I was looking at these yesterday when I was picking up a jail gun. They only had 2 options, I know I want to get one that I can use during league shooting.

I have been shooting this gun since the 90's in Bullseye competition and for sport. I have probably ran 10,000 rounds through this thing and it still kicks ***. I made the grips myself and had a gunsmith machined the barrel for me. Hope you like it.

Mine doesn't seem too picky. I've shot federal bulk red box, cci mini-mags, cci blazer lead nose, winchester super-X and a few other randoms without issue.

Just picked mine up, looking forward to getting a Tactical Solutions barrel. Got a URX Practical model for a $299. Was expecting to pay much more for this particular weapon since it retails for $459 , maybe they of mis-priced the gun or something.

Happy Camper

At first I thought it quite strange to see a Buckmark thread. I've always considered this gun to be a real piece of junk. Every time I'd take it to the range, it would jam and misfeed more often than not. It's been in and out of the gunsmith's, and has even gone back to the manufacturer for warranty work. I've been bringing an allen wrench to the range every time just to keep the screws tightened. Seeing this thread has made me want to give this old camper another try. This time I will try some loctite on the screws as recommended. Will probably upgrade it with a rail and a scope just for the hell of it.

Nothing fancy, just the stock Buckmark Camper:

I see that Buckmarks come in 2 different slides (pictured below), is there any difference between the 2?

You can see the two types of slides & firing pin assemblies in the image above. Also Exile Machines pic shows the older plastic sight base. Newer buckmarks have an aluminum sight base. You can tell them apart by the pins connecting the rear sight. Plastic base has a single pin, aluminum base has two pins.
