No copycats with the old picture. Done on purpose

Watch the video for a closer look.

I just watched the video - position one locked & top load only, position two BB release only and position three means we're in NV ......

The "transitions" of configuration are from CA legal to CA legal to not CA legal so we can go from top load to BB without "passing through" the out of state configuration.

Are there any concerns the screw that controls configuration can turn out a bit and someone set for BB use can find themselves in the out of state configuration? Five turns is a fair amount of distance I agree, would a touch (just enough to gum things up a bit) of blue loctite be advisable? I think blue would allow for turning but prevent any free backing out possibility.

BTW - good price & shipping.

No loctite needed. The set screw settings will only allow for the 3 settings. You will be able to tell by pushing the button what setting you have. No inadvertant settings here. Only operator adjusted settings

I have made the setscrew tight enough that it will not back out during firing.

Blue locktite would be fine if it makes you feel better, but let it dry on the setscrew before instaling it in the Bullet Button Convertible. TM.

This unit has been a long time in development, and it is GREAT! Only 4-5 turns between settings. Allen Wrench included of course.

Our top notch customer service included free of charge.

I thought about caling it the Bullet Button "Trombo". LOL

3 settings no waiting.

Thanks.

Although if you have to loctite it, you might as well have a standard BB? That would be just about as easy to "De-Kalifornicate"-remove loctite BB, insert standard mag release...wash, rinse, repeat after returning from the free-states.

If you let locktite dry before installing, it increases friction, but does not lock. It is not required anyway.

Works perfectly without it.

Just picked up a pair for my babies

I am really happy to see all 3 conditions met by one device.

This will also really solve any issues should I ever take the rifles out of state and/or laws change.

It looks neat. But please tell me this isn't going to end the original BB.

I prefer just to swap buttons. I also like to mod them into the version 2 it doesn't look as if I can do that with the 4.

Thanks for the KUDOS.

This will not ever end the Bullet Button! We are happy to make it, the Prince50, and the new Bullet Button Convertible.

This is not like anything on the market. It is a cross between my Bullet Button and my Prince50 maglock. It allows the best of both, Prince50 locked, Bullet Button, and Prince50 unlocked. (which is standard button use.).

3 for 1!

Really? That price is already less than the $25 that the original goes for. Plus it has free shipping.

I'm glad to hear that the original is still going to be around!!!

The statement on the website declaring "This button can not be used with magazines greater than 10 rounds in capacity. To do so in the state of California on an unregistered assault weapon, would be a felony" has to do only with the law, not functionality?

Out of California, one could use a 20 or 30 round mag with the BB Conv, corrrect?

I see your point but I'd like to know that anyone who plans on buying a AR15 platform knows this is available.

technically you are correct though. If the owner or another mod thinks it should be moved then Im game but this thread doesnt have a price so it would have to be modified or edited to add that info.

No this is a legit thread. Feel free to ask questions all you want. If it was solely in the commercial threads, then you couldn't ask questions.

Better test that puppy on a 308 as I had my BB vibrate loose and fall out of the gun. The store that installed it said they had "never seen that before". I asked if they used loctite and they said "no". I have since used loctite and it is staying put.

These kind of quick changes make me very nervous as I do not trust the police one bit to not jack with screw and hit you with a felony.

My point was, if you are going to make it that hard to remove, you might as well just switch back and forth between the BB and a stanard mag release.

Your idea seems to be the better way to do it. Is there any chance that the DoJ will state that it COULD be turned into a standard release with the tool, thus it IS a standard release?

I watched the video last night and I'm impressed.

It looks like it does everything a Radlock does and more, with a much lower price.

I'm ordering two.

Actually I was thinking "just a dab" of blue to increase frction, not lock it per se. If it seems the fit is tight enough without so probably not worth doing. I ordered two, will see how it works.

Is there any reason none of the tops of the "mag release" part of the BB has the usual surface cuts found on a standard AR mag release? I know it makes no functional difference, but I think the smooth top isn't as neat looking as the standard AR finish.

I guess that's really being nit picky, right?

The Finger Ridges would be a cool feature. Maybe we can convince Darin for v.2 of the the BB Convertible!
