Shoots well and very light recoil…more like a light nudge. Recently got it out of storage and sent it to Kahr Arms for service. Nice guy from KA (Jason) tuned and lubed it for me - free of no charge. I took it to Burro Canyon Range and put roughly 50 rounds through it - It shot perfectly and accurately.

I purchased my M1 Carbine the a roughly 5 yrs ago after seeing it glamorized by Hollywood, and shot less than 5 rounds with it at the time. Recently got it out of storage and sent it to Kahr Arms for service. Nice guy from KA (Jason) tuned and lubed it for me - free of no charge. I took it to Burro Canyon Range last weekend and put 50 rounds through it (more if I could afford the ammo). It shot perfectly and accurately. This gun was intended to meet a niche and the maker has achieved that point very well.

Not the OP but its an Auto-Ordinance. Current production, they still make these new and they have a reputation for being better quality than the later model Universals were. Look up their website, the same company that makes the Tommy Guns new, same parent company also owns Kahr and a few other names as well.

Thank you NorcalGSG and Quiet - good looking out (I love this forum). I have originally wanted the GI version, but could not afford them at the time. My friends have the GI version and they look cool, but (with no disrespect) they experienced the same thing that most relics experienced when they have been in storage - extra grease and a bit of inconsistency. So if someone is looking for cheaper and more reliable M1...this would be perfect.

It'a not the 'universal' it is original reproduction of WWII and Korea weapon. The 'Universal' used a two piece bolt and cocking lever that was poor at best. This M1 is good to go.

I am not an M1 expert so all I can say is:
-i am the original owner
-rifle has been recently service by Kahr Arms so up to par
-recently shot 50 rnds and then cleaned by me
-excellent condition...no scratches
-located in Fontana and willing to drive within reasonable distance ...not because i want to sell badly but just because the buyer has to make 2 trips ...i have been there so i understand.

Bump....by the way, that's a M-2 select fire stock on your carbine. Left side of receiver looking down on it, there is a slot between the stock and upper receiver where the selector went. Somebody buy this....GL
