Default What is the shelf life of Pyrodex

Does anyone know the shelf life on Pyrodex RS. This is the older cardboard container and is no doubt well over 10 years old. I'm not sure how this was stored before I got it.

Thanks, Steve

With proper storage, it can outlast your great great grandchildren. Personally, I am too traditional to use Pyrodex for anything unless I have too.
Oh, I've made some duplex loads with it for pyrotechnic displays but, I won't get into any details about that except that I was working with a licensed pyro guy.

While I have powder approx 50 years old that is good I have some Pyrodex for my ML rifles that was 5-10 years old and it clumped. It also did not shoot well when compared to new. So I do not use it and buy new to hunt with. It was stored correctly. Maybe it was just this batch???

My 2 Cents

I've been shooting 20 yr. old Pyrodex P without any noticeable difference.
