I think "mall ninja" is more attitude than equipment. I see nothing wrong with buying nice stuff. However, start fantasizing about "scenarios" and justifying your purchases based on those fantasies and you become a mall ninja in my book.

When I see a guy who invests in nothing but cheap airsoft grade parts & accessories... I think "mallninja" right away.

i.e. NcStar scope, CAA vertical foregrip, cat toy quality laser, Home Depot flashlight, barrel clamped Chinese pot metal bipod???

The guys with real EoTechs, Aimpoints and Trijicons are not mallninjas in my book. Mallninjas will never spend $500 on optics. And if a mallninja does spend big bucks on quality products well then I will gladly sign up to be one of those types of mallninjas! lol. Kinda like saying if driving a twin turbo, AWD Nissan GTR is being a ricer then I am all for it!!! (ricers usually outfit their cars with Pepboy grade products for those that may not know?)

Mall ninjas also include those guys next to you in the gun store, tellin you about how you need to "stop shopping for 9mm and get .40, cuz that's what the cops use, and that's all I shoot.....naw, I'm not a cop, but my best friend's cousin's husband's little brother used to know a cop that taught me everything he knows about shooting....

ya know, the guys that have never seen a bullet hitting flesh, but can tell you EVERYTHING that happens when this bullet hits this or that.....

or the guy that suggests that you're a wimp for buying a .22 for target practice....you gotta shoot .45ACP.

I'd like to see what they do when SHTF though. It may, or may not, be the funniest thing ever to happen......fat guys tripping over their 3 point slings......hilarious.

Well, no. 99% who have EBR's wanted one before they actually got one.

But if you never get one, or you do get one and bolt all kinds of useless junk on to make it "look cool", wear tons of tactical gear to the range, the mall, or your bedroom for facebook pics, post opinions about guns you don't own on calguns all day, and are just generally an asshat on top of it, you'll be one.

Don't do mods to your guns just because they look cool. Talk about what you know about. The rest of the time, listen. Do that, and you'll avoid most mall ninja behavior.

Mall ninjas are also in love with Magpul and buy all the Magpul training DVDs. They like to pretend that they are more competent gunslingers than Mil/LE due to all their advanced tactical training and believe that watching a DVD made by the god Chris Costa is somehow a substitute for real world instruction or experience.

So pretty much anyone who has a lot of knowledge about accessories? I say it's the guy who can name all those parts BUT does't know their uses. To them, it just "looks cool"

It is similar to a civilian version of a "PX Commando".

Mall ninja's are a lot closer than you think

Go here...http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/f...play.php?f=120

The more junk attached to the weapon, the greater the mall ninja fu.

Too much tactical crap on their guns, ARs with 10rd mags in 30rd bodies, guys with fully dressed ARs, AK owners who try to make their guns look like overdressed ARs, etc. .

What is a fully dressed AR? I think I may have a few.

Looks like a KAC rail. If I recall, that isn't airsoft, the owner just put all that stuff on it as a joke.

Okay, here it is from the original source...

I have a few guns just for SHTF situation. but nont of them have a ton of s*8t hanging off them Some have scopes most have a simple iron sights set up.( in fact two out of the seven have scopes one is my deer rifle and the other was a simple I wanna try this see if I like it) no flashlights lasers night vision ( although that would be cool to have to see stuff at night) to me all that stuff just makes your gun that much heavier. i can see maybe attaching a light if needed but for the most part a light will tell the bad guys where YOU are at especially if you accidentally bump the on switch. Either way IMO guns that have a bunch of tactical stuff hanging off are simply designed to attract you to purchase the gun for the "look" and bad az potential.
Let's face it 99.99% of us will never have to use our guns for defense or war. But if someone wants to go nuts doing conversions or adding crap to a rifle go for it. You are the one wasting money especially since most people end up taking the stuff off and selling it anyway ( at a loss)

By the way, FU to the guy who posted the pic of the fat guy with the wheelbarrow. My wife's asleep next to me and thanks to you I almost woke her up as I started coughing after practically choking on my laughter. I kept looking at the lard arse in the background thinking "I'm in pretty good freaking shape, but could I just as high as that flying whale?"

I dunno, but that is a classic pic.

Here is all you need to know about ninjas: http://www.realultimatepower.net/index4.htm

My wife would say any of you who are not SWAT or something similar are mall ninjas!! Really now aren’t we all to some degree? I like accessories to a degree knowing that the chance of me needing to actually take a life with my stuff is pretty rare. I hate those who thing they are better than others because they fit a certain profile.

There are those who go over board or all out in any hobby, be it drag racing, boating, motorcycles or guns. It's a hobby for the most part have fun with it. Those who don't like how I spend my money can kiss my big fat, well you get the picture.

No, that's Lt. Gecko45 doing a Flying-Dragon move to evade some 50cal rounds and returning fire with his MP-5.
