In my dream, there is no bad guy - I am just holding the G19 and I am squeezing the trigger and I find it very difficult so I loose my sight/target (the target is never clear in the dream, it could be a bad guy - I don't know) but I am just unable to pull the trigger. I am not a weak guy, I am in control of my life to a good extent, and I have had plenty of firearm training. I wonder if I put in a #3.5 connector into the G19 if the dreams will stop... only gun related dream I ever had.

I found myself wondering the same thing today about my G26. I even took a look at the lonewolfs. It's wierd because my main worry about shooting a bad guy would be controlling my group and not wildly snapping off 10 rounds in a 20' circle around the guy.

Most of my dreams involving firearms result in shooting having not effect upon my target whatsoever. Every once I'll dream of being able to fire and put holes in something, but usually it's as if I'm firing blanks or the gun isn't even loaded.

Some dreams mean something.

Other dreams mean nothing.

Some people love to interpret your dreams for you because it gives them the chance to tell you how weak and screwed-up you are. And in the proccess, try to pass themselves off as superior.

That's why it's no fun talking about dreams. Some wise-azz always wants to play head-shrink and try to convince you (and everybody else) that you have issues which make you less of a man.

I had a dream recently where I was a member of the tv show M*A*S*H. The dream lasted a long time. In the dream we weren't in a tv show but actually in Korea. I haven't seen that show (or thought about it) for over twenty years. Of course I don't imagine the dream "meant" anything. After all, it was just a dream.

My gun dreams mostly fall into two categories:

1: Being in public, normal society, walking around with a long rifle. The feeling is very similar to those dreams where you accidently walk outside naked.

2: Civilisation has collapsed and I'm just trying to stay alive, very stressful, killing, loss of loved ones, revenge killings, wannabe warlord crap, etc.....these dreams I typically enjoy though.....

Youve been thinking of upgrading your gun to much. Just get it done.
I dream of alot stuff when I dont get things done. I think its mostly because I worry or think about doing them all the time and i end up procrastinating.

I've had many nightmares where I'm in a shootout with more than 2 bad guys and my main gun breaks, and I'm reaching for my compact/sub-compact back up. Ain't that the crapola?

Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

Why am I the only one who has that dream?

Just reminded me of this comic. For those who have similar dreams, some dreams are very common. (I've dreamed about driving from the backseat quite a bit).

OMG, I HAVE THE SAME DREAM!

when i was a kid i got this lighter gun and the trigger pull on it SUCKED. i had to use two hands.

now, everytime i need to shoot a gun in my dream, the trigger will not break or the trigger guard is too small for me to fit my finger in.

weird huh?

btw i have a brand new glock 3.5lb connector that I MIGHT want to sell but I'm not sure.

Default Fun, isn't it?

The million pound trigger pull dream is one of the most common dreams gun owners have. I've had it. Another good one is the magazine that won't go into the gun during a reload because:

a. you can't hang onto it.
b. It doesn't fit/the mag well disappears.
C. you always have the wrong mag.

They are usually anxiety based. That's why you feel anxious in the dream when it occurs. It may have nothing to do with guns and is merely sybolism for some underlying concern. It would depend on what has you concerned. Extra training would only help if that is what is bothering you.

tbhracing, it would only be paranoia if the person suffered systematized delusions of persecution. In other words, they had the irrational belief that the trigger failure was caused by some other person or group that was out to get him. If there is no "Them" then it isn't paranoia. Oh, it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you or, they did mess with your gun. Now stop projecting your short comings onto others, and give lars back his girlfriend.

This thread is awesome.

I sometimes dream that bad guys of one sort or another are coming and I usually cannot find the mags or right ammo for my weapons.

I also frequently dream that I am back on the ship (been out of the Navy 13 years) and need to get to the bridge for watch but can't find my boots, or part of my uniform, or something. Either that, or I am on watch and the ship is going way too fast, and all the buildings are in the way... haha.

Every gun dream i've ever had, I've been nearly unable to pull the trigger

I usually have to get both hands' index fingers on it and squeeze with all my might, then the bullets usually don't even affect whoever I'm shooting at.

OK, psychoanalyze this one. I'm in the house of someone I don't know very well. And I know it's in Italy, though I have no idea why I know. I'm home alone and I field-strip my gun to clean it thinking I must finish before the hosts return because I carry it concealed and I don't want them to know. And the gun strips into like a million pieces. Little bolts, springs, all sorts of things. Then some kid comes into the room and tips the table over so the pieces go flying all over the room. I collect them, but then I can't fit them all together. Now the hosts come and they don't care about the gun but I still can't put the gun back together, and I'm not sure if all the pieces are there. And then I wake up.

Never had a "trigger pull" dream, but I've had "malfunction" dreams about confronting a threat with an automatic. My 1911 is a very reliable weapon and I carry that quite regularly. In the dream it's not a 1911, usually it's something like a Berretta or another modern automatic (which I don't own). I don't get these kind of dreams often, but when I do it's always similar to that.

Lately, any gun related dreams seem to have me armed with my Colt Single Action Army. Funny how I never have any troubles with it. Whether a dream about being in the woods or needing to defend myself in the city, that .44 Special Colt has not let me down yet....

Go figure.....
