Default Firearms 0 -- BBQ 1

Rus here..
My skills in regards to firearms are not the greatest.. (I know how to shoot pretty well ..

But I will gladly offer up my most important skill.. BBQ!!!

I'm a member of two competitive BBQ teams, Hog Wild Barbacue and Smokin Fatties BBQ.

I'm new to CalGuns, so I'm not sure if chapters meet for events and whatnot, but I'd be happy to provide some culinary deliciousness should the need arise!

I'm in Castro Valley. I'm a mechanic and general "jack of all trades". I'm really handy with things and well versed in many aspects of the trades. I enjoy backcountry exploring, working on old 4-wheel drive vehicles, shooting sports, and old west history. My passion in the shooting world is single action revolvers and lever action rifles (oh..and quality 1911s). I compete in SASS cowboy action events whenever I get the chance. It's great fun for my whole family.

Anyone down for a drink in Berkeley or Oakland tonight??!! I got a itch and I'm pretty sure a few stiff drinks are just what the doctor ordered.

Give me a call if you are up for it.

I'm just a college student.
But I always bring someone shooting with me, to date I've taught 9 people who have never shot a gun before the basics and there have still been no accidents or safety rule violations. What's better is that some of them are actually interested in buying guns of their own now.
That and I have a pretty good understanding of the convoluted gun laws in this state.

Scott Schappell here. Havoc 70 was my call sign when I flew in the Air Force.

I live in Vallejo and I also joined that social group here. I am also the POC for the 707 region Open Carry.

I'm a UNIX systems administrator, technical project manager and a photographer. I'd be happy to volunteer however needed at shows or just in general.

Welcome, Scott!

We could use your help at the Cow Palace show scheduled for May 1 and 2 if you're available on either of those afternoons. My deadline to report the list of volunteers to Bplvr is tomorrow if you would please respond ASAP.

Thanks, Liz

Which Hollywood Video? They're closing left and right, and I miss them.

Used to love to the video store to browse, and there's not many of them left.

What's up BA Calgunners? Alex here. I would like to again thank Calguns for the best forum of any kind on the net, and one that has led me to build a couple CA-legal AR's, one in 5.56 and one in 308Win. The smell of the love of Freedom is quite strong here.....Knowledge is indeed power.

Anyway, I rode sportbikes for 20+ years, started with a GPZ750 and moved right up to a FI GPZ1100. Been all over the Western US.

Love shooting reactive targets. Tannerite, jugs of water, pumpkins, steel, etc. Kinda spoiled. Only go to ranges to make sure I'm sighted in and fully operational.

I have permanent trigger-finger nerve damage on the pad tip, from touching the barrel of one of my 308 semi-autos after a 100-round mag dump. Quite proud of that, how sad.

Shameless plug: Work HVAC, need a new furnace or ductwork? Send me a PM.

Last July I hit a deer on 108 by the MMTC near 395 at 70mph or more on a sunday morning ride on my '08 CBR1000RR. Crushed the right side of my body pretty bad, glad to be alive, very lucky too, I think my expensive gear did its' job pretty well. I'm still working out at my home gym as part of rehab.
Welcome aboard -- the forums is a fun place to heal up in
