Looking to buy 1k rounds of .45ACP.
The best price online I can find is $435.

Thanks for your input!

When they're in stock (not now), http://www.rmammo.com has BVAC reloads(which have a good reputation) for $340 per 1000, plus shipping.

I have bought good (wwb) fmj 230 .45acp on gunbroker for 19.50 a box times 20 boxes before. shipped, and with paypal.
that is the best deal for non russian I have gotten, but the deals are there if you are willing to look.

FWIW, you can nearly ALWAYS get Wolf for 200 for 500 rounds, many places. It does not count unless you figure to your door price.
$.40 a round for .45acp is pretty damned good anymore.(deliverd, with tax blah blah)

saw 250 round boxes at sportsman's warehouse in Rockland today... was listed at 99.95 per... I wonder if they'd be willing to play ball if one were to want 8 boxes, heheh.

Best 1,000 I bought were WWB (100 rnd boxes) for $29.95 (so that was $320-$330 if memory serves).
Last 500 I bought cost me $216 out the door... if that tells you what I'm used to paying.

Here's a link to an ammo engine showing what is currently available from cheap Russian to good match rounds.

http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=.45+ACP

The list is arranged from lowest to highest price.

How well does that Wolf, Brown Bear, etc. steel cased stuff work in the .45?? I'm also looking to put back some rounds for the range and would like to be cheap about it, but not so cheap that I have functional issues.

$.40/rd is a decent deal these days for reloadable brass. I spent about $.42/rd recently.

keep in mind that if you pick up your once-fired brass (that is, not standard wolf performance ammo), you are recouping around $70 to $90 per 1k rounds, which is significant.

Thanks for all the replies.

Checked Ammo Bros. $82.something for 250 rds., they might get some in this afternoon.

Picked up some at Bass Pro for $40/100rds. of WWB.

I'll look into the Wolf, I also wonder how well it functions.

Thanks again!

If they have any, Walmart sells WWB for $32 and change. 100 new rounds of FMJ to a box. I just bought 5 boxes, but called 4 stores to find any. If I figured that right with my meager math skills, that is about $.33 per round.

I have used Wolf in several of my 1911's without issue.
Go to GunBroker. Limit your search to pistol ammo. Type in 45 1000
Parabellum Research is a licensed reloader. 1000 rounds for $330 + shipping.
I've bought several.
