Default New laptop w bluetooth

I'm looking to upgrade my current laptop. I want something that will work. Something that won't lag when I load webpages, can play movies without a problem, something with awesome picture and great storage. I use my laptop like a desktop and carry it with me a lot. Anyone have some reccomendations?

"Panasonic Toughbook."
If you're willing to pay a huge premium for name/ruggedness.

You'll get better recomendations if you post a budget.

1. dont get a celeron.
2. dont get a celeron
3 dont go cheap, chances are cheap doesnt mean a good deal, and usually low end gear. you will prob spend at least 800 for a decent laptop, 1200+ for something pretty good.

as people install games, programs etc etc etc it loads down the whole system, if you dont use it delete, uninstall it, defrag the hard drive, use avg free ad aware etc.

you probably want a dual core cpu, or the new i7 systems by intel.

+1000

Macbook

You can also run Windows if you have proprietary software. I have clients who actually run SolidWorks on Macbooks WHILE they are using OS X to check email, web, etc. Saves on the virus overhead by not allowing Windows to touch the Internet, doing all web activity on the Mac side.

On ANY laptop, get the extended 3-year warranty.

budget.....probably 1500 max if I find something I can't live without.
Mostly want reliability, battery life, great graphics to watch tv/movies on my computer. Storage too. Pictures, music, etc. I have a 500 gb external but every little bit helps.

+1 on the Macbook. Great product, great support. You can run multiple OSes on it without issue. Run OS X 10.6, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.something on my Macbook Pro.

If you're talking specs, sure. It's not gonna run OS X (easily) though. You're not going to get support as good as Apple's, either. I understand this is a non-issue for those of us who are technically oriented, but for the average consumer it's a big deal.
