Default Glock 23 with Burris FastFire

thought there might be some interest out there to see a Gen 1 GLock 23 with a Burris FastFire using dove tail universal Glock plate (#410326). It was a cinch to install. Have not fired yet with the FF attached.

Nice, I always have wanted to try one of those red dots for a pistol.

I had been looking for a while to try some sort of reflex red dot or Crimson Trace laser on my Glock - and I found a great deal so pulled the trigger - no pun intended. The Burris FF gets pretty solid reviews as compared to some of its competitors. While I was doing research, I went looking for photos of one on a G23, but did not find. So, maybe this will help someone else.

figured I would follow up with a report now that I shot it.

I liked it well enough. It was way off zero out of the box, so with the little driver they provide, I was able to zero it in with relative easy at about 20 yards. It will certainly take some getting use to over iron sights. With the location of the on/off switch, I can pretty easily switch it with my thumb.

I find, as others report, you tend to have to need to tilt it down (so to speak) to find the dot.. but the more I did it, the more I could go right to it and find it. It seemed to hold zero, no issues with shock from recoil, held firm on the mount (I used a little lock tite to be safe during install).

I don't keep targets. I trash 'em

well, I think the first time out I have to say it started out a little more difficult as I had to start to learn where to go to find the dot. but I believe in time and practice, it will get easier as muscle memory kicks in and I can go to the red dot every time the first time. By the end of my night, I was already finding the dot faster.

I was not yet going for total accuracy, but I could put all shots in a general 5-6" circle after a few flyers to get it dialed in. My goal would be to tighten groups up in time, but that won't happen the first time out.
