Default Vortex Skyline Spotting Scope Non-ED

Scott, do you recommend these scopes for a sub $500 scope? Do you carry them or do you recommend something else in this price range?

I shoot out to 300 yards at my local range and I am trying to find something that will work out to that range that will not break the bank. I usually use shoot n c targets and can see hits at 200 yards with my crossfire riflescope but not out to 300....

TIA!

I love Vortex products, but have never been a fan of their spotters, with the exception of the Razor HD.

I like the Nikon Prostaff spotters for a budget spotter, the 16-48x65 for $400 for Calgunners.

Scott, thank you for the honest answer.

The others I was looking at were the Kowa 601/602 or the Kowa 82sv. I know they cost more but would those allow to see hits at 300 yards or would the Nikon prostaff serve me just fine?

Thank you again!

Of the two, I'd lean to the 82SV, as it will definitely work well, even beyond 300 yards, and will resale easily.

But, I do believe the Prostaff will work OK. Out to 300.

Scott

I use a TSN 603 for my range work for 300 yards.
