I think it's great. Shooting will not survive as a male-only sport, and women tend to be better shooters for several genetic and social reasons.

I do think its hot

I don't think it would be easy to explain to a date about having bullet shaped burn marks in between my boobs.

Then, there are the guys who dig those cool-looking scars on chicks. My standard comment is, "I was in a knife fight -- and you should see the other guy!"

I agree that most of the woman I have shot with are great shooters. And it's a joy to teach an all woman class. Mostly because they listen better, and actually do what you teach them. And there is no testosterone to deal with.

My wife loves to shoot trap, and is pretty good at it. She regularly out shoots me at the trap field.

It's funny because when I take my wife to the range she feels like she is being watched even though there may not be anyone around. Honestly though she is a heck of a lot better shot than I am, no sarcasam there. She likes to shoot my .32acp 1903 that was my grandfathers, and is coming to like shooting my .40 Sig P226.

Overall though I think it is awesome seeing women out at the range, like many of the other guys have said its a good thing for women to know how to shoot.

So I guess the range isn't like the bar? I can't wear my skimpiest outfit and get some poor guy to buy me a drink a box of bullets? Haha

Not all... He was frustrated by the restrictions as it put a crimp in his style of dress.

With the price of ammo and the restrictions they're slapping on us, hey, you may have something there!

In my case, I accepted the proposal when the offer was made to clean my guns all the time

TJ, you should give it a try!!! Next time you see a girl at the shooting range, you should go to the gun guy at the counter and say "I'd like to buy her a box of whatever she's shooting". LOL!!!

I think, at least for the ladies, that would be a GREAT trend to start! Maybe they could do ladies night at shooting ranges. This is too funny!

They used to have a range in Brea, CA called The Firing Line (TFL). It is now OC Indoor Range. I still go there.
I think TFL still has locations in Burbank and Huntington Beach.
Many years ago, TFL in Brea would have 'Ladies Night' on Tuesdays. I believe a female could shoot for free if she had a male companion paying for his time. I cannot remember if they discounted ammo or anything else for this.
Maybe the range owners and managers can revive 'Ladies Night' ;-)...
