1:20 Canada doesn't allow anyone to own handguns? ORLY? He should research his rants more before he spews off BS like that... or he could just run off feelings, which I'm sure he feels are more valid than facts.

Im pretty sure handguns are legal to own for self defeense in canada.
Where is this guy at? How does anyone live in oakland and not want to exercise the 2A. As soon as i moved here and heard about alll the home invasions and robberies happening i loaded up.

He is a nutjob, but that doesn't mean he's not right on some things, such as the relative high number of gun crimes in the U.S. compared to other countries. I love my gun as my much as anyone else on CalGuns, but I'm not going to deny that basic fact.

most of those gun crimes are caused by gang banging criminals, not your typical CGer in his mid forties or fifties.
Those criminals get their guns through all sorts of ways, and yes straw purchases seems to be a big factor. But there are factors out of our control that will always garuntee that criminals will have guns. They can be shipped in from china or africa, customs officials bribed, etc. There will never be a totally gun free society. Even in japan the yakuza stilll manages to get guns, but they prefer to use knives instead because silence is a big factor in offing someone.
