Oh right, that makes sense. I'm pretty sure I can do it. I will get back to you later today or tomorrow. Thanks.

You will need to order your Polo from Vick tomorrow as the show is this weekend.

Send a message to canthavenothingood , tell him your size, and see if he will put it in with the shirt shipment. You can pay for it with GunPal or give the payment to Dragonfly at the show .

I've sent a PM to all volunteers with information regarding the show. If you said that you would volunteer and did not receive a PM then please contact me.

Thank you,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I wanted to go to the show on Sunday but I think I am gonna have my son with me. Just under 2 years old. I know the stroller would be a PITA to maneuver, but can I even get in with him? I can't remember if I have seen kids in there before. Anyone know for sure?

Yes. You can bring in your little one.

They don't appreciate gunshows much, though. Way too much "don't touch".

I totally know that feeling - I'm not the best morning person either...Don't worry about making it at 8am, 8:30am is fine.

I wish to stress that if you are bringing a 'display gun'to the show that you demonstrate to another volunteer how it functions and that it is devoid of any live rounds. The other volunteer should make sure for themselves that the gun is unloaded and then put a tie-tie on it. I know I am a mother hen ,but just consider how terrible it would be if a CGN gun "discharged".
Check and check again.

Good advice. I think the cop at the door will inspect and zip-tie. But another inspection is worth while. (Let's see the cop zip tie an AK47 :-)

Cluck, cluck ...

Also, is there anybody from the South Bay (San Jose/Campbell/Milpitas/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale/Mtn. View) area that is going up Sat. AM ? I have some support AB373 letters here that need to go up and I won't get there until late morning.

Dragonfly and I couldn't connect for the hand off.

All guns are to be checked on the way in and they will be zip tied then and there before you are let in the building. These are the show rules...

Thanks

I posted because down south here we are considered "vendors"
and are responsible to have our arms secured . The LEO's only check
items brought in by the general public.

Hey anyone come back from this yet?? Are there any liberal protesters outside? I dont want to spend any more money on guns for now, but i am so ready to go yell at some liberal fart sniffers who think they are solving stuff by protesting the beloved 2A and the cow palace for hosting these events.

Yelling might not make us look too good.....perhaps using truth..fact..and statistical information in a calm way would be better. In fact....it may really piss them off the calmer you are about it.

I know that if I can get someone to fly off the handle I have accomplished my goal....and yes....that is their goal.

They usually hang out in Sacramento and Washington where they pay off the politicians to pass more special interest laws that favor their position (getting to be the bosses over the great unwashed masses of poorly educated -because the uwnwashed masses did not go to harvard or yale or some other stupid ivy liberal elitist college) or makes them richer off the backs of the working man.

They only go to the field when they know or can convince some news vans and at least one helicopter to also show up.

They find it a waste of time to protest when there are no news people to report the protest.

Was a pleasure to see CalGuns in action. Saw CalGun brochures at several tables of different vendors. Always nice to connect screen names with real names & faces.

Didn't see any protesters at this show or the last one in August. At the August show there were protesters present, but they were Free Tibet protesters who were protesting the China cultural show that was taking place in the main portion of the Cow Palace.

OK everyone, fess up.

What did we spend this weeks allowance on?

How were the ammo prices?

Did the 22LR last pass 9:30am?

Its good to see the 7.62x39 ammo under $200 per 1000 again. Wish it would go back the $69/1000 days again.

What were the ammo prices like at today's show?

Are there still a lot of new dealers at the shows, or since the hysteria is dying down and you can get yourself an AR15 for $600 and AK for $400 (or even less) again have all the new dealers dried up?

Any reloading supplies? Do they have primers that last past 10am now?

Did any elderly, women, or small children get injured during the 9-10am Miwall bum rush where nobody is safe from the zombies with cash waving in their hands and the single minded purpose of these zombies as they rush out to their car with a cart load of ammo running down everything in their way that prevents them from going back for a second run?

I am thinking about going tomorrow, just not sure yet. Maybe someone can convince me it is worthwhile going.

I did like the one positive note from this last years gun/ammo buying hysteria, and that was it brought out a lot of new dealers with new product. The gunshows had gotten really stale with the same dealers trying to sell the same overpriced items for 5 years and running, and yes I have seen many of the same firearms on those same dealers tables for 5 years or longer.

The recent hysteria also helped in cleaning off all those tables of stale product that sat there for years and years so those old time dealers could buy something new to sell

There were some bright sides to the hysteria after all.

Miwall still had a bunch of .22LR at around 2PM today. They only put out a few bricks at a time of each brand, but as it gets bought out, they immediately replenish.

Xerxes - Go to the show tomorrow - You'll be pleasantly surprise - Ammo are available - Prices have dropped - .22s are there - AR uppers are everywhere - I saw Wolf x39 for something around 220 - Reloading supplies were in abundance also - A member here just started a thread about all he bought and now looking for recipe for Varget -

I however only bought a single Hakim mag -

Excellent. I look forward to working tomorrow. It looks like there'll be a little more room behind the tables for the fat guys (like me) too!

Great time. Thx Dragonfly for everything you did (and thanks to your son for doing a lot of the heavy lifting). Billw is so intense; I love it. Thx to Saigon for the good eats (I'm still eating bread to cool down my from the burritos; kitten mouth :-) And I can't forget Scarecrow, err, I mean Deadeye who's clever enough to sell me ammo for a gun I don't even own :-) And thanks to everyone else there; great bunch (you'll soon learn, I'm terrible w/names & other memory things).

Are there details here about the shoot-in-q at Chabot ?

Best part of the show, aside from the Cal Guns booth, was Miwall giving rides in their armored truck out back.
