Default 1911 Punisher grips

wow ok... so i just googled this and came across another forum where someone asked if putting punisher grips on his 1911 would make him nerdy... reading through the forum I was amazed at how heated that thread had become... i was so surprised at how strongly people felt on both sides of the matter... people arguing that it will fry him in court when they see skulls on his gun, to people raggin on his maturity level... just wanted to see how the fellow cal gunners felt about these... in my opinon... they look kind of cool on an all black 1911...

Personally, I wouldn't put them on any of my guns... but to each their own, I say. People have the freedom to decorate their guns anyway they want (within legal limits, of course) -- if that is Hello Kitty or Punisher skulls, so be it.

Hey, whatever people want to put on their guns, I say go for it! People shouldn't let others opinions change what they like. I've been made fun of enough for my rhinestoned AR, but as it adds one to the shooting fold then why the hell not???

It's really quite silly to have punisher logo grips on your 1911 IMO.

Now THAT is nerdy. (In a good way)

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I think watchmen grips would be cool.

I don't like them, but I say to each their own. Sure, it might make you look bad in court, and sure they are mall ninja without a doubt, but if you like em go for it. I would rather have sweet set of custom wood grips then the punishers any day of the week. Another man or woman's weapons are exactly that, the are theirs not yours, so butt out.

Well if the Punisher grips make you look worse in court.....wouldn't the hello kitty ones make you look even better? Like "He tried to kill him in a kind and sensitive manner for breaking into the house."

i personally dont see any difference between engraving and grips, how many people on here chose their receiver based on the company logo? if there was a reciver with a proven accuracy increase, but the reciever logo was a pink unicorn, would you take the pink unicorn, or a spikes logo with less accuracy?

while i dont like the punisher grips, i am looking for customized grips i DO like for my 1911 and for the 1911 grips i have on order for my AR.

Customizing your stuff is just another method of artistic self expression, so do whatever you like.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being a comic book/video game nerd AND a gun enthusiast!

That's cool! I'm really showing my inner dork here, but shouldn't the smiley face not have the blood on it? The blood logo is from when the comedian gets killed, his actual button/logo was just a plain face wasn't it?

I'm going to dig out my copies and look.

A buddy of mine makes Punisher (and many other) logo engraved Glock Plates, AR extended takedown pins, and overside AR magazine release buttons. So I started offering them for sale on my website. Punisher logo is by far the biggest seller, then Hitman, then Infidel, then Patriotic related stuff. I was iffy on whether or not they would sell...but they are definately one of the biggest selling items I have. Really surprised me. So good for him for coming up with a way to make a decent living in such a tough, tough market.

I want Hello Kitty grips!!! Even if someone doesn't like them, who's going to argue? The real problem is my wife, can't you hear it now.... "Ooohhh, how cute, too cute for you". Then MY Hello Kitty 1911 becomes HER Hello Kitty 1911. Then she would send me out to have it powder coated in pink to match the grips, then go find her a pink holster, then a pink belt, you get the idea...
