Default Seems to me.......

After sitting here thinking about this and the many phone calls I received something came to mind here. This is the assult weapons law as written;

Article 2. Definitions of Terms Used to Identify Assault Weapons
978.20 Definitions
The following definitions apply to terms used in the identification of assault weapons pursuant
to Penal Code section 12276.1:
(a) “detachable magazine” means any ammunition feeding device that can be
removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action
nor use of a tool being required. A bullet or ammunition cartridge is
considered a tool. Ammunition feeding device includes any belted or linked
ammunition, but does not include clips, en bloc clips, or stripper clips that load
cartridges into the magazine.
(b) “flash suppressor” means any device designed, intended, or that functions to
perceptibly reduce or redirect muzzle flash from the shooter’s field of vision.
(c) “forward pistol grip” means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp forward
of the trigger.
(d) "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon”
means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger
hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the
exposed portion of the trigger while firing.

By their own definitions if they were to list these firearms they would have to allow the evil features. If they didn't and just said because of this or that then it would open the flood gates for rifles like the M1, SKS, Mini 14 and so on (list is to long to type all but you get the idea). Now, if they don't list them and leave things as they are they can then force you to make it only a ten round and so on like the rifles mentioned. They are not stupid, they looked at this and figured out that if they list they opened a very large can of worms, if they don't, we are all stuck. I know people are going to argue this but if you just think about it it is correct. You can't say this is what a AW is and heres it features and then turn around and say well this doesn't have any of these features but we are going to call it a AW just because. You would then have anti gun people saying well all these are illegal to own why aren't all these with the same features as these new AW. Its just a very large game that is going to take a very long time to figure out.
