Default '83 gun show surplus rifle purchase Q

face to face non ffl seller at LA county fair gun show 1983. No paper showing a seller/buyer. What options for selling it now?

just sell it how you would sell any other legally purchased long arm

The requirement for going through a FFL occured after 1983 as I recall, so that type of sale would have been perfectly legal at the time.

You can sell it in or out of state and ship it directly to a FFL or you can sell in the state and have the transfer go through a FFL as a PPT.

If it is over 50 years old then you can still sell it to another California resident without any paperwork or FFL involvement.
