Default Any FFL recommendations near Pasadena?

Looking for some recommendations around Pasadena. I looked at the SoCal thread and saw Gunrunners with hi recs. They quoted $75 for the transfer. I thought $50 was the going rate. Is $75 fair?

anyone have intel on Crown City Jewelry/Loan? sounds shady they're not even a gun shop.

I've a bad experience with Gunrunners, check out the thread regarding Gunrunners in the Centerfire Rifle forum.
I've done several transfer with Crown City (including several very expensive firearms) without any problem, they used to be cheaper than others.

Good Luck.

Default New FFL

We just opened our Gun Shop at Angeles Shooting Ranges.
About 25 minutes from Pasadena west along the 210.

We do catalog sales and gun transfers without attitude.

You can find out all about us at

$75 is pretty much the going rate, plus all of the various
taxes and fees.

Life is too expensive. We have to pay rent, utilities,
salary, phone, internet. Considering that it takes
all totaled an hour and a half to do a transfer,
including all the communications, paperwork, logging,
and maybe even having to go pick up the firearm
from Fedex or something, well, $75 is very reasonable.

You can send us e-mails via the web site.

We hope to see you in the future.

Entreprise Arms in Irwindale...Great place and Matt is cool guy! They are a manufacturer of FALs but they do OLL/out of state transfers and have a pro shop. Check 'em out!

One question is whether the $75 includes the DROS fee.

There is a local shop in Simi Valley, Fort Courage Armory, which does the transfer for $50, so I would say that $75 is not really the going rate. Another place charges $150, but that is a place to avoid and they only charge that to either convince the person to buy from stock or to go away. I doubt that many people pay that price.

Check around and you might find better deals.
