I'm not worried about the drive. For me its more of an exposure thing. I'd really like to be on the anonymous side of things. The solace of being LEO

Wish it was that simple. It sometimes puts holes in the primers and it's split brass. Took it to a gun smith who did a chamber cast. Said it was just within spec and should be ok. That's why I'd like to see what the no go gauge says.

I got my one piece of fire hose from Steve the fireman a long time ago. No extras sorry.

I bought some extra chain so the target is GTG on the range hangars.

My DP28 parts are coming Monday, so I won't bring it.

I'll bring some hose and can sign people in but I will likely pack up by 10. Need some 1/2" nuts and bolts to connect the hose.

Had a hectic evening and didn't sleep well and then totally forgot. Didn't even get anything packed up. A little bummed

My first time there and it was fantastic. Everyone was very welcoming, and more than helpful! Got to try out several guns I had never shot before. I'll definitely be coming back.

A big thanks to everyone who was there today!

It was weird seeing the creek flowing today, hopefully no got scared off by it. It was great seeing some of the people who havent been able to make it out for a while and new people too.

Shooting the flintlock pistol was fun too. Makes me want a BP gun even more.

There is always this one moron who has to screw it up royally. This time it was me.
My apologies, folks, and feel free to bitsh slap me next time when I'm too distracted during line break announcement.
On the upside, I hit the small swinger 3 times in a row with my 1891 Commission rifle...

Default WEGC C&R!

It was cool seeing water in the creek, I blasted right through it in my Ford truck! Lol!

Weather was great and I got to shoot my Carcano, Mosin PU and my "American Eagle" Mauser in .308W.

Almost had a bad thing happen with my Spanish M1916, while trying to chamber a round the bolt got stuck about 1/4" from completely closing. Luckily I didn't force it into chambering, the firing pin was sticking out 1/16"! After some inspection by myself and helpful members, we could see the safety lever had been ground on. After getting it home and disassembling the bolt. I found that the cocking piece had also been ground on.
Long story short, I ordered replacement parts from Liberty Tree Collectors.

Thanks to all the members for getting us signed in and sharing their knowledge and guns with us!

Hope to see you all soon.

Whoa, that would have been really bad if the round went off before the bolt was fully locked. Good thing it didn't happen. Generally a good rule of thumb never to force anything in a gun if you can help it.

Lotta fun! Glad to be able to make it out there to see some familiar faces, as well as some new ones. Got to shoot some cool milsurps as well.

For those who were asking, this is the steel plate setup I used:

Shoot Steel makes some really quality targets. Mine is the magnum popper and it has withstood a lot of large caliber rounds smacking it and it's still going strong.

Good call. I looked at mine and have a small pin protrusion as well. Maybe I'll do what you did.
