Default I've been bitten by the CZ bug

A year or so ago I traded a guy for a CZ-75 Compact and enjoyed shooting it. I enjoyed shooting it a lot more when I got the Cajun Pro Package installed in it. Recently I traded a guy for a CZ-75 SP-01 and got to shoot it a couple times and it shot great. I just got it back from getting the Cajun Pro package installed on it and I'm excited to get it to the range soon. Maybe Colonel Cooper is right about the CZ!

BTW Josh at Applied Kinetics did a great job installing the Pro packages and it didn't take months to get my gun back.

I just got back my P-01 from CGW with the Pro-package. I am very happy with it and the people at CGW are just great people. I will be sending my SP-01 in at some point as well. There is a reason why you have to wait 8+ weeks for the completed product but the wait is worth it.

After I contacted them it took about 4 weeks before they told me to send my P-01 in. Once there it was about 8 weeks before David called me to go over the work he performed and to ask if there was anything more I wanted.

That's pretty quick. Does Josh do the polishing of the internals as well?

A CZ P-01 is on my short list of handguns to get. I really only have 2 types of handguns at this point, CZ hammer fired pistols and HK VP9 striker fired pistols.

After years of churning through all kinds of handguns and various platforms it feels nice to have finally settled on what works for me.

Very cool, I've got a SP-01 and a 75b that I would love to have upgraded and made single action only. One of these days I gotta do it.

If you are bitten by the CZ bug, then it's time to get a CZ Tactical Sport. No CZ collection is complete without one of those. Then you might consider hunting down any of the Shadows. And finally but not least, the Czechmate.

Got an sp01, then a tac sport. Now I'm thinking p01. Or 75SA

Or the TSO. Or Bull Shadow. Or AO1.

That's before we go into Tanfoglios...

Your not the only one. In the last 5 months I've bought or traded for 5 CZs. First 2 75b SAs (not on purpose) a 97b (everybody needs a 45) P01 (great shooter) and a 75b that I put the Kadet 22 kit on. I gave one of the SAs to my daughter and I enjoy shooting all the others. I am thinking about sending the SA to CGW I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Keith1911 are those Cool Hand grips on the compact? They look just like the ones on my P01 even the same color.

mooner760HD get the P01 you already have a full size and honestly I enjoy shooting it more than the SA and if you ever want to get rid of the Tac Sport

I just nabbed the last SP-01 showing in stock from RG(hope the inventory system is correct!)

I've never owned a CZ but have always wanted one.

Next on my list CZ97B for sure.

Then maybe a P-01 and a TS

For the 75 BD and 75 P-01, both of which are DA/SA with decockers, what is the benefit of any of these upgrades, assuming you want to keep the same functionality?

If you are speaking of Cajun Gun Works or CZ Custom upgrades you will get a much smoother action, lighter crisper trigger, and quite possibly better accuracy from the pistol.

If I can get that without going to SA only it would be nice.

CZ makes outstanding pistols. They are pretty much all I'm in the market for right now.
SP01 has been amazing to shoot with 100% reliability. Would not hesitate to use as a primary/secondary HD weapon if I needed to.
Picking up my TS next weekend. The trigger rivals the Sig Legion SAO.
Next, the Orange is on my list. Wouldn't mind a Shadow 2 either.

My 75b and SP-01 are both DA/SA. I have performed a partial upgrade to the 75b and the difference was big. I plan to complete both to the equivalent of the CGW Pro Package.

When I started shooting a year ago, nearly every list I researched showed the 75SP01 at the top of the list. I put it on my list, but waited until June (10 months) to put it on layaway (in California I have to wait 30 days to buy a new firearm).

Six days before I could do paperwork for the 75, I PPT’d a 97B in .45. The day after the countdown for the 75 started, a buddy sold me his P-07 and P-09. Three days later I PPT’d a 2075 RAMI. It took a whole four weeks to add the last CZ (to date), a P-10 C.

Once you feel that first high...okay, family show here. Suffice it to say, it’s difficult to experience the joy of one CZ without wanting more, whether it’s more pistols (like I did) or more from one pistol à la CGW or CZ Custom.

BTW, not sure if I want to send my 75 for the “treatment.” It’s the only pistol I have shot the last year that has missed the target ring handheld at 10 yards only once in 50 rounds. The prior best was a Nighthawk Custom 1911 that missed the target three times out of 50 shots and cost five times more than the CZ 75 SP 01.

I can only speak to the Cajun GW modifications but the DA is significantly smoother and in SA it... is... awesome.

I don't know if he does that but both the double and single action are great. He probably could if he didn't on mine.

To show of my CZ 75BD (completely stock) here is one of my best ever 10-shot groups, 2.25" group @ 30 feet. X-8 target, heavy inner ring is about 3.25"

I wish I could do as well every time! Still a long way to go.
