LEDs make everything possible

A piece of decent lexan would help protect the lightsource from any metal splash as well.

If its the one up the hill, maybe a couple chemlights on the back of the target plate?
Should silhouette the target against the hill, maybe?

So if you want to shoot the Barrett, its bring your own ammo, with some caveats to be taken very seriously (google up “Barrett 50bmg kaboom” for some good reasons to start with).
I will allow only FACTORY BOXED COMMERCIAL NAME BRAND BALL AMMO. No surplus. No loose rounds. No pretty colored or shiny tips. No half or open boxes. No reloads. No belted rounds. No freedom munitions or LAX ammo or whatever other garage band ammo mfg you like.

There have been more a couple very serious issues with the bring your own ammo in the past (which we won’t get into) but we will try this again.
Some suggestions:

I have also had major issues with targets in the past. As much as I’ve tried to have a nice steel plate for people to shoot at, no target or stand has ever held up or stood up after more than a couple hits.
So if you want to shoot the Barrett, it is also bring your own target. For safety, the target will have to be at the base of the hill ~300 yards (ish) away, straight out from wherever I am at. Nowhere else.

I recommend doubling up on ear pro, and proper safety glasses are a must when shooting it.
Usually Saturday after lunch is the time frame.
I'll bump this once, because I know people are going to ask....

We can easily do that! I should have a few extra, but probably not enough to get the desired effect.

Who wants to shoot a zombie?

Step one get wood

Step two make target

Step three shoot target

I don't know. The smell of rotting meat and the flys that would descend upon the firing line would not be very fun to me.

the spot is 1.06 miles from the left side of the firing line as the crow flies. It is about a 20 minute drive depending on how fast your vehicle goes on bumpy dirt roads.

I might go after some rabbits and coyotes if anyone is interested in a way less rewarding hunt then lone wolf.

Spent the last 2 days prepping and stocking my travel trailer with gear for the shoot. really excited I will be showing up Thursday evening after I get off work.. when is everyone else going to start showing up?

I will offer up to let anyone connect to my Honda quiet generators anytime I am running them if you want to charge things or what not. just bring your own extension cords.

Just came back from Africa last night just to learn about recent events in our country.

My heart is bleeding.

Prayers sent to the fallen, injured and their beloved families,;wish the survivors a full and speed recovery.

Respectfully.

Update.

Portable facilities will arrive and will be ready for use effective Friday November the 3rd at 0700.

I'll be towing them and place them at the usual location just right next to the north plateau access ramp.

Update.

Our first NRA folks will be arriving at ground zero effective Thursday November the 2nd in the afternoon.

The range master and top brass fire line directors will be there to delineate boundaries and reserve necessary strategic spots for our NRA RSOs.

I do encourage all the early arrivals to assist and comply with directions as needed.

Thank you.

Just got back from a weekend of shooting there.Road is good for rv and trailers we had a 36 ft and a 32 with our group.

Same trouble spots the first a 1/4 mile in where right side of road is eroded but no change in last year and easily passible the other a 1/2 mile in where there was a dip its still there but there is a go around. besides that road was pretty firm but rough the first 1/2 mile

Dear fellow members.

I'm catching up with all your communications as fast as I can, please allow me a few days or so to properly reply to your inquires.

I was out off the country hunting in Africa for a few weeks and now my channels are extremely dense with traffic.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely.

Lonewolf.
