Go to where there's water, and stay out of the path of radioactive fallout.

Otherwise you guys have nothing to worry about ;-)

Foster Farms is the West Coast’s leading poultry company. The company has been privately owned and operated by the Foster Family since 1939

Foster Farms DAIRY - It is claimed to be the Largest privately owned dairy company in CA.

Same family owns it. They supply a crap load of our milk and poultry.

which dam? folsom?

I think Millerton Dam will be ok as water levels are not that high, The airforce/FAT might be one target, I'll probably head up Yosemite or King Cayon depends where traffic allows. CV have good EMS and Emgcy plan in placed, the problem is if when the big city north or south of CV is hit, the medivac or evac route is here. So start stocking up water and daily essentials, will have to share with others till help comes. Horses might be useful here instead of automobile, think of limited gas supply. Like in the Postman era!

I figure earthquakes and levee collapse would be the major concerns of the central valley. Am I wrong about that?

I'm not sure what your definition of 'Central California' is, but my wife's parents life in Tuolumne County uphill from Twain Harte. I hate the thought of being trapped between the masses downhill and a closed pass uphill with all of my 'stuff' back home.

I have no idea what I'd do, but I'd like to make better plans than I have because I'm sure millions of people would decide to head for the hills and 108 would become a violent parking lot. It's a situation I'd really like to avoid.

My bunker.

Crank up the generator, switch on the cameras, crack open a cold one and watch the fun outside.

I'd fortify my home and stick it out as long as I could. I have enough supplies to comfortably stay put for 2 weeks, I could stretch it out to a month if I had to. Stay in communications with a few other "brothers" that I know are also prepared. So we can set up a pseudo perimeter since we are in and around the same area. I think I'd be more concerned with being out on the road while all s-- breaks loose with all the crazies and "rambos" out there. Once the initial rush out of the cities fades, I'd pack the truck with the remaining supplies and make my way north.

Something to think about.

I live by the three rules of survival.:

Memorize the THREE top rules for survival. They are:
# Number One - Get out of the cities!

# Number Two - Get out of the cities!

# Number Three - Get out of the cities!

I have plans but they are too detailed to type in this little box. If you study SHTF scenarios then you know what the phrase "Golden Horde" refers to. I strongly suspect that plans are in place in neighboring states to take measures to prevent ingress of the "Golden Horde" so you definitely do not want to make fleeing California by vehicle part of your plans. You also do not want to be in the path of the herds that will be trying to trying to get out. To me that means you want to be 60-75 miles (that's about as far a person without food can walk before giving up) away from I-8, 10, 40, 15, 80 and Hwy 50 Eastbound and US 101, I-5 and Hwys. 97 and 395 Northbound. Maybe less in mountainous areas. The 3 most important things to being able to care for yourself in California are water, water and water. I suspect water, and to a lesser extent food, will be the tool they use to get people to go into "resettlement" camps.

I picked up Alex Jones on my shortwave radio once. He was screaming at one of the Rothchildses, and after they finished the interview he swore on his soul to destroy their evil empire.

I just purchased my first house, and I had to sign a letter of notice saying that I am aware that I am buying a house near several possible military and terrorist attack sites and including nuke. fall out.

People are going to want food, and I am located where its grown. So, I plan
on kicking back and picking off looters and other tagets of opportunity.

Using ammo wisely of course.

I would hole up here in my small town and try to get by and take care of my family. I've got a large generator, a well for water, a lot of established fruit trees, and plenty of room to grow veggies and potatoes if it drug out. I've thought about heading to the hills but a lot of other people probably will too. If it were doable, I would head to the coast and commandeer as big a boat as I could find and sail south, port to port picking up what we needed as we go. Kinda pirate like...

YARRRRR!

Defense depots Tracy and Lathrop
Army ammo plant Riverbank
Lawrence Livermore labs
All airports Large and small

There are a bunch of places on the 101 that are vulnerable. From what I have observed of the transportation system in this state, you are not leaving the cities during an emergency or SHTF. Heck, on a three day weekend it's just about shut down any way. Like I said, plan ahead. Remember the three rules of survival.
