Default My First AR-15 Build

Hello all
I finally decided to dive in and do a AR build for the first time. Here's what I got for it.

1. A Double Star receiver for around $138.00 out the door(I also bought a Noveske N6 receiver and another Double Star receiver at the same time).
2. DPMS lower kit from midway.
3. AR-2 stock
4. Complete upper 7.62x39 20" barrel from ar15-kits.com.
5. 2 C-Products and 3 MWG 7.62x39 AR Magazines
6. 10 Dummy proving rounds

It was pretty easy except for the trigger guard. I think next time I might try to do the upper myself for the true build experience.

This was a nice change from doing M1's and Mausers.

Something's wrong with that sight.
It's sitting WAY too high.

Actually that is a standard A-2 front sight post. With a detatchable carry handle, the sights would be right on.

You did a good job there. I have a LPK and Stag receiver sitting here and will be building my lower soon with a bullet button. The I will put my Stag 2H upper on it
