Default Botach: Good or Bad?

I'm thinking about ordering something from Botach because the item is $50 less than the competitors.

Anyone here have good or bad experiences with them?

Well, they probably have the worst reputation as an online vendor in the gun industry.

They seem to be from the 323 area. Has anyone picked up a item from them directly?

The one time I've ordered from them, I had a good experience. Timely, correct item, overall no problems. Search the archives, as I know there is more on the subject.

Depends who you ask - But the consensus is that if they show in stock, order it -

They will not let you pick up items unless your are LEO or Military. I would call first to verify stock level. They have been known to sell items not in stock. Good luck.

Call and ask if they have stock, if they do then order. If they don't or are not sure, run very fast...

Holy crap man DON'T DO IT!!! Those guys have ****ed me so hard I should be demanding an engagement ring.

If you are .mil or LEO you can go pick it up in their ghetto LA location (I've been there twice) but all that gets you is wasting your time driving to get disappointed a little sooner rather than wasting your money buying online to get disappointed a little later.

That said, SOMETIMES they do come through, and then they have a good value. If that happens to you, proceed directly to the nearest casino.

MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X Ear Muff

I nearly blew out my ear drums on my last trip to the range with some crappy muffs, and now I have the funny rings in my ear from time to time.

I want to upgrade to this. Anyone know of a different place to get this with the same price?

It depends... do you mind waiting a week to see if it shows and then canceling and/or calling your credit card?

I've been lucky mostly, with a few issues, but I'm still ahead in the cost/pay scale...

I have spent a ton of $$$ there, had two not so good experiences, but had a bunch of good ones. if you call them, they can see if it is in stock, if it is, you get a good deal. if you just click the buy button, it may arrive, it may never arrive, but they will run your credit card and lock up the money for it even if its not in stock.

i ordered 6 ladder type rail covers from them on saturday and was called the same day and was told that they only had 3 in stock. i told them to ship them anyway and they arrived today. aside from not being in stock, i'd say that the service i experienced was good.

I haven't had a bad experience with them yet. Called the order in and went there and picked up. They are located off Crenshaw Bl and maybe 57st Street or something. In the heart of Ladera Height area near Leimert Park. Not a very desirable place.

I've never had a bad experience with them. They have great deals on a lot of stuff if it's in stock. sometimes you might order something and never get it because it's out of stock. I continue to shop with them.

For every good report you find about Botach, you find 100 bad ones.

The odd part is, most of the bad reports are from 2+ years ago. I took a chance based on that, and waited about 3 weeks for an order I made. However, the woman who answered the phone - while woefully ignorant (she couldn't pronounce the company's name!) - explained that the new company policy is to never charge until shipping. She was right: they don't charge until shipping anymore.

I'd say call the company and confirm the item is in stock, at that moment, and then order. If it doesn't work out, you have your credit card's fraud prevention process, and then post about it here. Let us know.

Same thing - when it's in stock, they're good to go.

I've bought from them a bunch of times, and only had one order go bad a couple years ago. If you sign up for their emails, they pretty much always have their specials in stock.

I've bought several things this last year - Quikclot, multiple knives, and some misc stuff - with no problems, and their prices on some things can't be beat.

They're pushing their KZ brand now, which is Chinese made gun gear branded for them. So far, it appears to be decent quality Chinese at mostly reasonable prices.

No, no showroom whatsoever. Apparently it's an iron-barred obscure shopfront in the middle of Wattsghanistan.

If you possess a Mil ID or LE Badge, do yourself a favor and walk into their store-front in Los Angeles. It is a big *** warehouse with a lot of goods, save on shipping charges and you get to walk out with your goods!
I wouldn't deal with them if I couldn't walk-in.

It's just a big warehouse with boxes and boxes of stuff. They use their website to help you shop...you select the stuff off their website and they run and get it for you.

I went in there one time with my BDU shorts and they helped me out fine. When my friend went to pick up his items in his Gas Company uniform, they told him that "will call" orders are for LEOs only. Guess your best bet is to order online and "will call" pick up the items' in your BDUs.

If you decide you want your items ship and it isn't recieve in a week, call or email them because I'm 99% sure one or two items is out of stock; therefore they will not ship until everything is there.

Good Luck Pete.

BOTACH can suck my short and curlies.
These guys are not only stupid but the people I dealt with had bad attitudes also. Not only did they send me the wrong merchandise but they did it TWICE and it took them an extra TWO WEEKS to get it out to me.

They also stated that they had a problem assigning the same inventory number to multiple items.

You do buisness with them at your own risk. I will never do it again.

I mean come on folks, its 2009 here. When I order a pair of pants I don't expect to get a verticle grip for an AR instead!

I ordered a LOT of stuffs from them on 12/19, and I haven't even heard from them ever since.

And of course, my stuffs are no where to be seen.

Customer since late 90's. Always smooth.

BTW, the owner (BK) always gives out 10% if you can catch him on the phone.

Never ordered from them before last week, I put an order in for TruGlo TFO's for my XD on Dec 30th, got them in the mail yesterday. No issues. They had the best price I could find for them in stock.

If you have issues with them charging your CC and not providing goods call your CC company and report it as fraud and get your $$ back.

The prices are great and you get emails on the sales. Other than that, unless you can pick it up, the service is so-so. I have had good and bad experience from them.
