Default shot heard 'round the world shoot 4/19

We know they did it in New York back in January, but now lets ALL do it on 4/19 to commemorate the original back in 1775
Word is starting to spread to the whole nation. On 4/19 1775 at 12:00 noon, the first shot of the American Revolution. Let's encourage every gun owner in America to go out to a safe and legal place at 4/14 2014 and fire their gun. Lets all make a shot to be heard around the nation. 4/19 2014 12:00 noon.

It's as special as it was for the 238th, the 237th, and so on.

You know that the redcoats were gun grabbers, right?

You can bet I'll be sending some lead downrange on 4/19, not only because of it marks the anniversary of the first battle of the American Revolution, but also because it's my birthday.

Crazy how many historical events happened on 4/19. Unfortunately one of them is the Oklahoma City bombing... No so enthusiastic about that one.

With that perspective, whats so important about any anniversaries that land on odd numbers? You still celebrate them dont you? Unless youre jehovahs witness then alright, you got me.

Congratulations and many more! I was responding to a calgunners earlier post about the importance of anniversaries no matter if it is a odd number year.

C'mon gunners! Angeles Shooting Range at 9am to fire off shots and to keep the spirit of defiance alive

Oh I know.. I was just yankin your chain a bit. If I can get to the range, I'll do a bit of a salute with my Mosin... if you don't hear the shot, you should feel the concussion! LOL

Lol! I get a real kick when I hear someone next to me at the pistol range who are obviously new to firearms say "that guys brass keeps hitting me in face!" Pistol bays are like urinals in a mens restroom, stay clear of at least an arms length and keep eyes fixed on your target. If you're getting pissed on toure too close.

My only concern is will the range actually be hot at that time? I'm bringing the loudest, most obnoxious firearms I have for this event to show my support for CT and to tell the gun grabbers to pound sand! Otherwise, I'll be at the *range to remain nameless lest I get razzed* letting loose!

That's the spirit!
I'll be at my club, (only allowed 2 guests and those spots are already taken)
Great day to invite a non-gun-owner, friend to introduce them to shooting and gun ownership. Meet all the NOT crazy people that own guns.

I just realized the Big Reno Gunshow is also going on 4/19. I've never been before so I'm considering making a day of shooting and shopping.

Well now, my P220 throws 'em about 6 feet...
So let's call that two urinals between each shooter to be safe

Lets do it gunners! 9AM Angeles Shooting Range pistol/rifle/skeet bay area. We should wear something distinguishable. Hmmm.. Thoughts? Was thinking a American flag in a slot where the mesh brass partition are normally put. Each gunner brings their own small flag and fire off at 9

Patriots Day April 19
Patriot Day September 11
Shot heard round the world - was it at Lexington or Concord? Still a topic of discussion in MA. Lexington the Brits fired on the Minutemen - Concord the Minutemen returned fire.

I'll be at Sac Valley Shooting Center on April 19 and 20 for the two day Appleseed shoot.

Redcoat shoot at the start and end of each day
Special targets only used on this anniversary weekend each year.
Flintlock musket demo at lunch Saturday.
Awesome history presentations during lunch both days.

And another chance for my friends to earn their Rifleman patches. I have mine, do you have one yet?

Sounds like a good day to take the Garand out and celebrate history (and shoot).
