Here is a heads up for the CaPRC clinic schedule for this year. If you are interested in shooting these clinics, mark your calendars.
Clinic A - March 29, 2014 Clinic A will teach how to get behind the gun/scope, attaining proper eye relief, using the features of the scope and natural point of aim. Then we will check your zero at 100yds and get the knobs set to zero and work on the basics of marksmanship. The course curriculum was written by a former USMC scout sniper instructor. This is a beginning precision rifle shooter clinic so we will concentrate on basic marksmanship as it is the basis of all future learning. This will be shot at 100yds. Clinic B - April 12, 2014 Clinic B will have you gathering dope from a 100yd zero out to 600yds as well as work on spotting and calling shots and making corrections from calls. We will be continuing with using the features of the scope and how to make accurate soft dope from your hard dope using ballistics software. You need to have attended (as a shooter) one of our former "A" clinics during 2013 or 2014 in order to attend this clinic as a shooter. Clinic C - May 18, 2014 Clinic C begins with confirming 100-yard zero and proceeds to teach sitting, kneeling, and slung prone positions. From there instruction moves to improvised shooting positions such as from barricades, vehicles, and various props. The clinics are scheduled so that the student maintains momentum and maximum learning from March to April to May. RSVPs for these Clinics will open shortly before the Clinic dates. CaPRC is giving notice right now only so that you can mark your calendars well beforehand. |

I'm interested in the clinic, but for each stage what caliber is required/suggested and how many rounds?
I ask because funding is tight and I'm limited to my 22-250. I was figuring that it's all about the basics and some mentoring to some point. I know that round can't practically really reach out much beyond 600yds but I'd like to give it a try. I do reload this caliber & .223. Any opinions? Sent from my iPhone.

It would be VERY helpful if the gun can consistently shoot 1/2moa to 3/4 moa. Go shoot this drill and post up your target afterwards: www.caprc.com/targets/10dot.pdf

Yes it can shoot sub MOA as far as I know. I posted a pic below. I'll print out your link and head to the range by or before 3/1/14 (next weekend ). You wouldn't know a round count that we would need do you? Thanks again, Tom ![]() Sent from my iPhone.

All RSVP's will be done on the CAPRC forum.
The Clinic A thread is here: http://www.caprc.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5370 Read the first post in full as there are very specific instructions for RSVP's and we do delete the RSVP's of people that don't folllow the instructions...
