Default My custom ar-15 ...still need the tacticool stuff

Well I finally finished my rifle (into a functional form) . I could never have done it without the help of the calguns community. Thank you ALL! The list is as follows Spikes zombie lower. Zombie is silver and red(color filled myself) and H2 buffer..alg defense trigger. WMDguns Fullauto BCG,upper receiver, buffer tube, gas tube(melonite). JP enhanced buffer spring, Mission First stock. Ergo pistol grip, bcm gunfighter CH, Ares armor effin a comp. AP custom tactical carbon fiber handguard. The barrel is a joeboboutfitters SS barrel. I had Calguns' AR15BARRELS shorten my barrel and pin/weld the comp on. He glass bead blasted it. And assembled my upper. Its mostly all nickel boron. Idk im a fan of the idea. Lol. Still havent shot it. When i do i will update this. Thanks for your time

Nice looking rifle. Check out the EXPS2-2, very nice optic. I'm not a fan of the Troy irons. They are nicely made, but it's a crap company and the design change last year (or was it 2012?) is weird.

Take a look at Magpul buis pro or Diamondhead sights.

Dang, if only they coated the lower NiB as well it would be close to perfect for my taste. Still a really nice 1st build and more than most would try to take on their 1st go around. Nice job!

I'd definitely invest in a good quality set of irons, especially since you have that long sight radius. Making hits at distance with irons is a lot of fun. I don't have personal experience with Troys, but they apparently have a good reputation.
I'd personally stay away from the Magpul sights and stay with some nice solid metal sights.
I'm a fan of eotechs as well. Can't go wrong between those and aimpoints.

The aim was to show that it was light enough to hold with one hand -_-

pfft, I'm still waiting to see a mirror selfie showing off a gun in a truck stop bathroom. This is calguns, it will happen.

edit: I forgot to mention, there will also be a thread with people trying to identify which truckstop it was taken at. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will happen.

Check out the fixed iron sights from Daniel Defense. Quality kit. Fair price. Less moving parts (fixed, not flip up). They will co-witness with a red dot nicely.

I don't think I have ever seen/held an AR that couldn't be held with one hand. Looks like a nice build though.

AH, Nickel Moron. A Fad, A flash in the pan. That stuff sucks, and more and more people are figuring it out. Hard Chrome is the answer.

Lol well sooooooorrrrrryyyy! Hahahha its my first ar...i guess i was just proud of it :'( I will follow up with a range report. And im totally not a gangster. No one in my family gangbangs or has a criminal record. We find it despicable and ignorant. Were killing statistics here hahaha it all starts with you idk how much it weights but id say anywhere from 7-8.5 pounds. Im roughing it but its rather light. The stock is under 6oz and the handguard is 7.8 oz. Plus the rest of the rifle. Im sure its not too much. The stock IS the lightest on the market and the.handguard idk but.its light AF lol. The nickel boron coating im surr adds a lil weight and the full auto.bcg is a lil heavier than a semi but still light imho . Plus the upper and lower mate PERFECTLY since as luck would.have it the upper from wmd guns came from a ceros forge blank and the spikes lower is a ceros forge as well (keyhole) . There is ZERO rattle when i shake it vigorpusly except for.the bcg moving. The stock sits tight AF on the buffer tube. I recomend it MISSION FIRST TACTICAL Battlelink. I just hope it will shoot correct, but im sure Randy did a great job on the barrel. I have no doubt he did. But isshhh happens when making your own rifle from parts. Ill just hope for the best. But i have faith that this rifle will run perfect. The joeboboutfitters barrel seems good to me. It came FLAWLESS. I skimped on the barrel a lil but ehh ill make another upper in 300blackout . I know someone with like 40 boxes of it. But imma keep that to myself! Hahaha sorry guys! I got juice! Ill pay the extra for an actual barrel for that since those rounds are finicky. Ill just make a pistol lower from an 80% and im straight

Some haters in here But it's been said you only pick on people that you like, and everybody likes me! jk jk

Something to consider for 300blk is an adjustable gas block. It's not the barrel that can make those guns picky but the broad range of ammo pressures. Its true calling in life is a subsonic suppressed short barrel rifle. Get an adjustable gas block and you can tune for any ammo.

Just a quick heads up, the bipod/forward grip on that site is incredibly expensive. It is a neat concept, but seems like it does both functions half as well. For $50 more you can get an Atlas bipod, which is arguably the best bipod available, and for $60 less you can get a very nice Harris.

you were supposed to place the rifle on the floor with your shoe's off. That's the Calguns way. Not a bad looking rifle though.
