Default PCS to Colorado

Well I'll be headed to Colorado this year. It was awesome having four years here. Amazing weather, nice things to visit, and worked with amazing people and had great experiences. While I may only be allowed an extra 5 rounds in my magazines, I will be sure to come back and show off my roster-free purchases. Man, I'll miss the weather!

Irony, we seem to be trading duty locations. Where are you headed? Buckley? Peterson? Schriever?

Colorado's a great state to be in, particularly if you end up in the Springs. You've got some of the best ski resorts in the nation only 2-2.5 hours drive away (Breckenridge, Keystone, etc), tons of hiking, camping, and outdoorsy stuff to do in the Front Range, and a much more tolerant policy towards firearms. (Except for magazines, and the outpouring of, ah, dissatisfaction towards the mag ban resulted in two recalls and a resignation.) The snowfall isn't that heavy, worst I saw in the last three years here in the Springs was about 8-12" in a night, and temperatures are not always freezing during the winter. True, a couple weeks ago it was -20*F for a few mornings but this week the highs have been in the low 60s. I think you'll like it here, once you adjust to the lack of oxygen.

Pete. I was at Schriever up to 4 years ago. I'll be much happier not commuting along that road.

Aw, secretly everyone loves driving along 94. You get blinded by the sun in the morning and then blinded by the sun driving home, while enjoying scenic junkyards and roadkill. What more could one ask for?

Yeah don't blame you, plus there are actually food options at Pete (and near Pete) other than the Dish. I'm told that the Aragon DFAC still sucks though.

Finally have almost everything in order and will be there in less than two weeks! Got base housing, nice pleace nearly twice the size of my base house here on Vandenberg in Cali. Also have a non-roster gun being shipped to Dragon Man for my highly inexpensive transfer. I've wanted a Walther PPS for years, and managed to get a First Edition for nearly the price of a non-collectors edition. Will be my EDC.

Gun wise, CO is no better than CA.. just watch you you tell anything.

"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

No roster, open carry except for Denver, no such thing as an "assault weapon" outside of Denver, state preemption over city ordinances, shall-issue in all counties, new magazines hold can 5 more rounds (bleh), no ten day wait, carry in car without license due to it being an extension of your home. Only thing that's worse is it isn't a Stand Your Ground, where Cali is.
