I'll start.
Today (1/24/14) I:
  • Upgraded my NRA membership from Life to Endowment for $250 (use nra-2014.com and you get a free 'tacticool' jacket along with it!)
  • Emailed and called my senator.

Edited to add links

I contacted the people who put together the recall efforts in Colorado to see what their tactics were and how we might apply them in California.

Just so happens I called my favorite new local shop and spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to convince them of the idea of getting on board doing SSE's. Doing so opens up a new market for them, people can get guns the otherwise would not be able to, we legally circumvent the restrictive laws. They were very responsive and open to the idea and said they would get back to me after they do some legal research. The goal would be to start with 1911's - something somewhat easy to convert and that only a few parts would allow them to SSE many make, model, brands of one of the most ubiquitous weapons on the planet.

Gunther Guns now has a few caliber 1911 SSE barrels! So the ball is rolling.

Called evey senator on the long list and opposed all of the new bills. But put special emphasis on 808. Even had Ted Gaines asst. tell me what a piece of work DeLeon is and is holierthanthou in person. Haha. Make the calls, make the difference.

Saw a discussion on The High Road where someone discussed using Amazon.com to support Calguns w/o providing the link to Shop42A.com. I provided the link to the discussion. A few mods thanked me for the information. It might be made into a sticky there.

FPC just announced that:
"From January 25, 2014, to February 28, 2014, sign our petition and enter to win an “un-ghost gun” from CAL-FFL!"

So if you didn't have enough reason to sign it before, sign it now!

Signed FPC petition. I ain't afraid of no ghosts.

Quote:
I, readysetgo, join with Firearms Policy Coalition to demand that our elected officials uphold their oath of office and:

1. Strongly oppose, in voice and vote, all laws that limit, burden, or otherwise infringe upon our fundamental Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms; and,

2. Strongly support, in voice and vote, all laws that strengthen, protect, or otherwise advance our fundamental Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

The Constitution means exactly what it says. We the People of the United States demand that our government protect and respect our Right to Keep and Bear arms.

Signed the FPC petition and e-mailed fellow gunners. Got a call from one who is organizing a range time meet up / shoot up / clean up at the BLM this weekend. We discussed the targeting of Ares Armor and are going to drop by for support and some lowers.

Renewed my NRA membership a few weeks ago but I'll sign the petition later tonight. Shopped on the Amazon store this weekend and will likely do so every couple of weeks now.

Oh and I started the mock-up for this: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...6#post13298546 after floating the idea to fellow Floridians in the hope of bringing a bigger better fight to California in a way all fellow Americans can appreciate and contribute to.

Heading to P2K tonight with my scary black rifles. Gonna talk to as many people as I can about SB 808. Remind people to keep up the pressure

This pertains to 2013, but over the course of last year I helped 4 friends and 3 family members here in CA become first time AR-15 owners.

Edit: So far in 2014 I have renewed my NRA membership, given to Calguns, and donated FPC. I plan on doing allot more. This is going to be a big 2A year for me.

Let's see…..I renewed my NRA, donated to calguns, bought from calgunsfoundation, bought more gun stuff, installed new parts(b-day presents) on a few guns, and once again renewed my vow to never, ever lie down for tyrants. To resist illegal laws and continue to live my life as I see fit not how some senator or other self appointed(elected) pig thinks I should. When a government allows its thugs to beat and kill my fellow citizens without accountability or justice, when they work around the clock to improve their lives while messing with mine, when they pass laws that I have no say in, they are no longer my government.
