I haven't shot one myself, but if it's better than my modified SP-01, then it might be worth it. I paid $629 + $438 in work from CGW so it's ~$300 less than the Accu Shadow. I love my SP-01 and I'd do it all over again.

Is prefer a Shadow/Shadow Target. I can't justify spending $1400+

It's basically a Shadow with a bushing, short reset system, and the HAJO Sights

I can. Just ordered one. Many thanks OP.
Also have inbound a SP-01 Night Shadow, SP-01 Tactical in .40, and a SP-01 Adam Tyc Shadow Gold to join the rest of the CZ herd.
Figure there's great odds SSE will be gone this time next year, the old truck runs just fine, so the wife and I are getting while the getting is good.
If I'm wrong, meh, I just have a bunch of nice guns to shoot.

Hmmm... I see that CZ Custom will retrofit my Shadow Target with the new Accu Shadow mods.
I'll have to contact them to find out how much that costs.

For Kygunco, remember to add 3% if you are using a credit card. They show the 'cash' price.

This may be FUD, but my understanding is the new model year CZ 97 will be coming out with slim aluminum grips and different sights (fiber front). These modifications, in Kamala Harris' infinite wisdom and desire for our well being, will render the CZ 97 B (black) off roster and force resubmission.

But in that for some insane reason CZ's do not microstamp brass, it will remain off roster. Might have to SSE that bad boy too.

Then again, I could be completely wrong. Wife says I'm wrong all the time.

No, you're right. The 01401 model is hard to find unless it's used.

Any idea if the addition of the bushing inhibits/complicates the removal of the slide... E.g., during cleaning or switching to my Kadet Kit?

The slide should come off normally. Removal of the barrel from the slide might require the bushing wrench if the bushing doesn't allow the barrel to move backwards.
