Default I'm amazing at Call of Duty so should I join the army?

Not sure if this is legit but it gave me a good chuckle.

I'm amazing at Call of Duty so should I join the army?

I'm 18 years old and I'm hella good at CoD, i was thinking of going pro but then I decided why not bring my skills to the army and serve our country. My specialty is sniping I usually go like 40 and 2 in most games so I figure I should sign up for sniper school since I'm a crack shot. I'm really dedicated as well, I wake up every morning and start the day with a grueling 4 hour team death match session to hone my skills, I figure I'll fit in the army really well since I can follow strict regiments and such. I looked at the PT test requirements and while I may not exactly score very high on those I'm sure they will look past that once they see my superior marksmanship, I've never actually shot a real gun before but I've played air soft and I figure that in combination with my CoD skills really makes me a deadly weapon. Maybe I'll even try for rangers or marine force recon since the campaign missions with those guys were pretty bada**. Anyway yeah what do you guys think should I enlist?

Holy ****. Step aside boys, here comes "the Gamer", i know you've heard of his COD kills, strict training regiment, and dedication to complete missions, sore thumbs and all.

This kid is perfect for army.

Just as long as the op knows that shooting guns on video games with the tap of the controller is night and day to shooting real firearms. If he recognizes this he ll be ok, if not he's going to have a rude awakening. You can't respawn either if you take 1 to the dome.My son was a big time COD gamer, took him out to the range and he couldn't hit squat.

40 and 2 means your still dead twice couch potato. Second place in combat is coming home in a box. My nieces boyfriend asked me the same B.S. after looking at all my USMC pics and stuff, he wants to be Army Airborne sniper yet he cant do 2 pushups, run to the end of his driveway and is late for work everyday. I spent quite a bit of time in the Navy because I liked playing "Battleship". Sounds legit.

Gonna have to oneze-oneze me first and I'll give you my evaluation

Before you even think about real Military... remember ONE thing...

There is NO modded controllers, no aim-bots... no care packages drop out the sky... and most of all... NO spawn. Once you dead... you dead

I want to tell you one thing , you don't have two lives in real fight..step away and join your COD Army. You will get killed in training before you get deployment.

I think there is a distinct difference. Flying games are closer to flight simulators while first person shooters really have no link to real conditions. Hell, the Air Force's flight aptitude test is a video game.

Where do you have info on that??

I searched and could not find anything about that, he had PTSD from many tours, but to say something like that about a man I would hope you have some proof.

All the military needs is for good people to join the ranks, whether it be watching the movie TOP GUN or playing XBOX COD - doesn't matter whatever gets them interested. And after military service, these young men will be better equipped to make money and build a family.

My Mario skills come in really handy when I see sewer pipes and giant coins laying about.

True - but odds are better of getting dead in a car accident stateside than getting killed in military service, so lets not drive either?. (according to statistics not me)

maybe...unless you think driving a tubbed drag car is like driving a pedal car, chances of death are a bit higher...no?

Just because you can use a fishing pole, doesn't mean you'll be great at swimming in a shark tank with a speargun.lol

Either way...it's a stupid topic. I'll leave the troll be...
