I have been to Osan AB on orders. The base is large and has a pretty good PX. It has been years since I was there but they had a Popeye's chicken on base. Probably the coolest part of Osan is the 'vill' which is a booming Korean city right outside the guard gate. Lots of places to eat and bars here and there. Shopping, etc.

Everyone from my shop always talks about party and drinking...not really my thing. Working Panamas so I'll have time to sight see, which is what I'm really looking to do.

It has been a very long time since I have been there. But you are very lucky to be going there and not some other desolate hole in the wall base. Osan AB is very large. There are a couple fast food places and a couple restaurants on the base. You are not too far from Soul, Korea. It is like an hour or hour and a half bus ride to Soul if memory serves me correctly.
Tons of things to do in Osan. The Vill is right outside the gate and is booming every Friday & Saturday night with airmen & soldiers from all over the country. There is awesome shopping and numerous places to eat.
I know you said drinking is not your thing, but it is kind of an un-official badge of honor in the ROK. My first time in country I did nothing but drink with my friends. The second time is when I learned how to use the subway & train system. I travelled all over. From the DMZ to Pusan (Top to Bottom).
It is an amazing country. Very friendly population. You will have an amazing experience there, I am sure of it……

Pros:

+Songtan
+Chili's
+Proximity to Seoul

Cons:
-Songtan Sally
-Quarterly MOPP exercises
-A bit of brass, what with 7th AF being HQ'd there

It's a great TDY base, don't know if I'd want to be stationed there...

I was TAD there for a week weeks. Not a bad base, having a Chili's on base and a nice strip right out the gate to go out to was nice. Leave it to the Marine Corps to have the worst duty post in Korea (Camp Mujuk)

Let us all know how the soju tastes when you get there....

Was never stationed there myself but a lot of fellow AF guys were. They brought back lots of Korean liquor and tales of beautiful prostitutes.

Come to think of it, a lot of the guys who went there ended up divorced. Maybe I am better off.....

I forgot to add a few more things:

Korea is arctic type cold in the wintertime.

Avoid the Soju party bowls.

Don't fall in love with a 'juicy girl'

The Russian exotic dancers sometimes have pimps in the bar watching them.

There is usually a Mama-San in/near the barracks that will take care of your boots and uniforms for a reasonable fee.

There is usually a Korean locally owned restaurant on base. Korean food is very good.

The Korean people overall that you encounter off base are friendly. Respect the culture and always be an ambassador of good will toward the locals.

(I was there in '99 and again in '01)
