Hmm, reasonable pricing for what should be a run of the mill decent AR from FN. Not bad.

I have an Arms room full of FN M16's at work. They have been making M16's for the military for a while so this isn't a surprise to me at all.

It's a little bit of a surprise.

When Colt had the TDP, FN was not allowed to use any of the data to make or sell any parts for the commercial market.

I didn't think we'd ever see FN AR-15 rifles.

For me, it's simply based on the fact that FN Herstal has maintained a small-arms (M16A2) contract with the DoD since 1988. The FNH M16 has been carried by our infantry for quite some time. Same reason I prefer Colt. They simply work, and work well.

Yes, I want an AR with a Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal rollmark.

My brother carried a FNH M16, and the rollmark appeared to be slightly different. I hope the commercial version is the same as well.

I'm a big FNH fan. I'd be happy to own something with that mark. Aside from barrels here and there, I haven't been able to buy anything FN.

If it doesn't come out before 1/1/14, I'll have to wait until I exfil CA.

Ha ha, I was thinking the exact same thing. If I was to buy any non-custom AR, it would be a Windham.

If they make a Vertically feed 5.7 model, I'm in. Too many AR's right now.

I don't think so. The only FN I want is a FAL. Pete

Eh, forged "milspec" style AR's are old news. Now it's billet everything if you want to be hip and cool.

I also say "meh". I'd just get a PSA and be done with it. If the roll mark does it for you, go for it. But yet another milspec AR just doesn't really do it for me. Besides, I already have an FN-made A2 upper. Before the panic, nobody wanted them.

Yeah, I don't get it either but i'm not one to drool over Colts, old S&W wheel guns or celebrities. The best AR is the one that works. I got plenty that always go bang.

I don't see this as a bad thing at all. I am certain that their product is going to be a solid performer. However I've got to say it has definitely took them long enough, them just breaking into der hanges, I mean, civilian AR, realm has definitely put them behind the powercurve.

My service weapon is a Colt M4, and some of the new shipments I seen few years ago were FNH M4's also, never seen the M16 version, but it was nice seeing brand new unissued weapons.
