Default Is Hodge Rd still open?

My mom just moved to Silverlakes/Hellendale, so now I have a reason to go up the hill.
I used to shoot at Hodge off the 15 but haven't for at least ten years. Is it still open?
Also wondering if there are any shooting spots off 66 between Bartsow and Silverlakes.

As far as I know it's still open. I manage to show up every couple of months, however I drive a couple miles west and south west into the hills there. Been wanting to go a bit North and North West to see what's up there. I like to sit out there on the south side in the early mornings and attempt to hunt coyotes. I know there's none around there for a ways but at least I can get the rifle dusted off a bit all by myself while everybody else is still sleeping.

I heard of people getting tickets there. I spoke with blm they said its open for shotgun only and with written permission from land owner. Only area open to rifle is north of the 40 fwy and 58 fwy. But mabey if you go far eniugh back they just don't bother with you

I've been shooting rifles out off stoddard wells for years and never had an issue. I go pretty far out up a rocky trail near the mineshaft though.

I went this past weekend. Crowded! All is well. Go early or you'll have to drive in deep

Best bet is to get there early and drive in a bit but no need to go too deep.

^^^^

Bbbaaaawwwwhahahahahahahahaha!!

Anyways, I usually drive over by the couple of hills just west of where everybody else goes. It's a little quieter, you can shoot a little longer distances, you're kinda protected by the mountain from everybody else.
