Pie Pumpkins are more likely to explode like melons since they're solid inside.

Making mashed potatoes was a lot of fun too.

Is there an official sign up or RSVP procedure?

I have a nearly new box of clays. Once upon a time I had a hand thrower, but I have no idea where it is now ... if there is a volunteer to bring a thrower I will bring my clays.

Default Would this be a good shoot for kids?

I want to give my 6 and 8 year old a good first few experiences to shooting. Do you recommend this shoot for them? They've been around guns and have shot, but I don't want to over do it the first few times out. Thanks.

I wouldn't really have them shoot anything larger than a .22lr -- that being said, come find me and have 'em shoot as much .22lr as they want

On another note, I feel like what puts a lot of young/new shooters off is firing a .22lr rifle next to the dude with a really loud gun...so maybe placement is key.

We strive for a family oriented event. If you decide to bring them look for me also. I will have an assortment of 22's they can shoot and other caliber's too.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and offers. You are right - their placement along the line will be key. We will give it a try.

There will be three of us attending.

so im in for sure and my group will be at least 3 - trying to increase as we speak.... ill have some 22lrs revolvers if any new handgun shooters want to try - also great for females, kids, and others who may be scared or intimidated from shooting. A few .22lr rifles as well. - a few 9mm 45 357/38s too

not sure what big bore stuff to bring... is anyone bringing a clay launcher for skeet? is it worth lugging the 12ga(s)? should I focus on handguns and not bring any 223,308,7.62x39,x54r ???? oh what shall I do??? I have a hand thrower I can bring but a launcher is SO much better

i might not have time to get some kabobs this week but dont worry i still have thurs. or fri lunch break that might just go a bit LONGER than usual

looking forward to another great time shooting, eating, chatting with the usual friends and new ones. this time I hope to take more pics and not forget b/c im having so much FUN

Draw the design with a Sharpie, and then "carve" from a distance.

-1, for the first time since I joined calguns I won't be making the burro shoot. It looks like this might be one of the best ones yet too! I'll be at zombie next weekend.

Btw, for those bringing kids for the first time, many people bring their children. It's a very family friendly event. Don't be afraid to walk the line too and make new friends.

Take pics of those pumpkins and fruit!

Can someone bring a Chrono?

I have some Federal HST .45ACP I'd like to test to see what it's velocity is at. I'm having issues with it (failing to lock back slide sometimes, failure to fully return to battery occassionally), and am wondering if it's under powered.

Bummer you can't make it. You will be missed. See you at WOT in a few weeks.
