It might be a pre-production model depicted in that ad.

That's actually not a bad price considering it comes with 3 mags and sights. Everybody likes different stocks so there is no point for Ruger or anybody to put a fancy one on their rifle.

I don't think so with the rifle being brand new.

you can see in the pic that it is an armalite-pattern, at least the upper/lower fit is. But the mags appear to be Magpul, and they only make a DPMS-pattern 308 AFAIK. so, it might be a mismatch of patterns.

Wonder if this is going to have bolt carrier tilt some (not a lot, just some) have reported with their SR-556s.

The only advantage for this sale is the Ruger is that it comes with 3 mags while you get a 10 round w/e brand mag from Riflegear (I got some junk ASC mag with my last rifle purchase from em).

I like the Sig, its in stock and if you shop around could probably be found for less as Riflegear tends to sell on the high side. Also if yoil do the preorder you will be waiting with no guarantee. Turners is notorious for overpromising and not delivering when it comes to preorders. Been there done that.

I would say our price on the 716 is very competitive, especially considering we offer a CA model, no shipping or transfer fees, and we have it in stock.

Do you know for sure that the rifle will come with 3 10 round magazines? From photos I have seen it comes with PMag 308 magazines and not sure if it will come with a 10 round PMag. When we receive rifles that come with high-cap PMags (5.56 or .308) we plug the original mags that came with the rifle. If the rifle comes with a metal USGI style magazine, we just substitute with a USGI style 10 round magazine. Have you had any feeding issues with your ASC magazine? We have never had a customer return an ASC magazine or complain about any feeding issues so not sure why you are calling them "junk".

I'm not roger1022, but all the 10rnd ASC .308 mags I have are useless junk. They don't feed rounds reliably, are way too difficult to load to 10rnds, grip the rounds too tightly (so that it takes you multiple rackings of the charging handle to pound the round out), and the feed lips aren't radiused corrrectly (instead of making contact along the radius of the lips' curves they bite into the case with just the tip since they're curved too much).

Could be, but we only carry their 5.56mm 10 round mags so that must be what he is referring to, and we have had nothing but good results with them.

At that price, you can find the SIG716 for less. I would agree the SIG716 is an amazing rifle.

Looking forward to seeing the SR-762 as well.

Anyone have any leads on who may have stock on the Magpul 10 round .308 mags ? (MAG290-BLK) ?
