Walmart on Murphy canyon in SD has a lot of those 150 round boxes of federal. They also have some 50 round boxes of cci 22 standard velocity. Limit 3 box per family member. I should have brought my family with me to get more. They also have some federal 100 round packs if 45 acp. $38.77 for the 45 and $3.47 for the 22.

Canyon country has 22lr stingers and a ton of 22 shorts. 3 boxes of 357 sig. Tula 380 and 7.62/39. Still have boxes of xm193. 1 box of 40.
I don't believe they are enforcing the 3 box limit because as I was coming in to see what they had, a guy was walking out with 8-10 boxes of asstd ammo.

Hi All, I am running a bit of experiment in getting ammo to friends, family and fellow Calgunners & NRA members. What I am doing is ordering decent quantities of popular ammo from a couple of out of state dealer friends, they have agreed to do a minimal markup. My obligation is to pay for it in advance, to pay for shipping a pallet load, to store it, and to do local meetups.

The goal is to have pricing consistently lower than Midway WITHOUT any additional shipping, handling or taxes. It goes without saying that it will be much less than most LGS and Walmart prices without quantity limits. As an example I have available Federal American Eagle .223 55 gr FMJ-BT in 100 round boxes for $410/1,000. Using 8.5% tax (average of LA and OC) that is the same as $377.88/1,000. That is about pre-panic pricing!

Here is the link to what I have been doing:

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=797801

As prices get lower, I push prices lower as well. The key is to get volume up to get efficiencies in shipping. Shipping ammo is not cheap relatively speaking as it is classified ORM-D and there is always a surcharge for that.

What do I get out of it? The satisfaction that I can help get gouging out of the way, to help fellow gun owners, and to ensure a reliable source of ammo for family and friends. Please let me know what you think. In addition to the calibers listed I can also get 7.62x39 in both steel cased and all brass non-magnetic versions. Thank you for your time!

Had issue at chino walmart on grand ave....sporting goods manager not honoring 3 box limit (1 box limit on 100 or more rounds) and hiding ammo in back for friends....hid big boes of 223 and 556 for friends and told employee other day to take out of case and hide in back.

This is wrong on so many levels and def can cause employees who do this or don't follow corporate policy to be fired....I don't want anyone to lose their jobs...but this has gotta stop....if any of us go to any walmart any customer should be able to get 3 (or more if its some caliber no one really one, yes this is lame but given current ammo state gotta deal with it) boxes of ANY size per day regardless....first come first serve if uve got the money and u want u should be able to buy what u want....

I heard a similar story just today from a former Walmart employee that had been in charge of that department who openly admitted to buying up cases of ammo before the general public could and flipping it on Gun Broker. He would even call other stores and have them hold it so he could send his wife to buy it. If you're a Calguns member, here's a big ol' screw you buddy and I'm glad you are no longer with Walmart.

This is what that idiot there was doing during the panic. I saw behind the counter that he had a short list of names + phone numbers as well as desired ammo.

WM in Ceres had 23 boxes of CCI .22 stingers /$7 for 50 round box @ 2pm today. First time I've seen 22lr on the shelf in months, anytime I ask I've been told "we had some this morning, or yesterday morning, but it sells by noon"

WM in Modesto had >6 100rd boxes of federal .223 for $40. Clerk was putting boxes on the shelf while I was there, when someone asked for 2 boxes the clerk finished locking the cabinet and pulled 2 boxes from under the counter.

Both stores had stacks of .223 and 5.56 20rd boxes for $10. Have seen them there now for 2 weeks.

Seeing a ton of .223 ($.40+/rd) as well as (to my surprise) the M855 for 69.99/150rns all over San Diego..

Still $.10-.15/rd to much for me.. and glad to see it sitting there piling up by the day at that price..

CCI .22lr in 50rd boxes.. so the 3 box limit sucks there.
