Called again 13-Sept-13 still no updates on HRA's, I asked for and was given the option to upgrade my order to 3 Service Grade SA M1 Garands for an additional $100 per rifle. I jumped on that !
Checked the E-store today and it has 3 SA M1 Garands listed by serial number on my order w/tracking numbers but still TBD ship dates.

Serial Numbers:
3829xxx
5927xxx
824xxx

Pic's will follow ...
that is great news, this means my order is getting closer to shipping. Usually I never bug them but this time I had to because I order two HRA SG rifles and when my order went to open, it only showed one. They quickly fixed it though and now I am back on track. I will post an update and timeline when I get the goods

I forgot to ask before but I figured I should now since I have the rifles sitting here. As a ffl 03 holder do I need to enter these CMP M1 Garands into by bound book if I sell or trade them ? Thank You

Took your advice, I was finally able to get around to ordering some Tom's 1/3. Did the black trashbag trick. Thought I was doing it wrong at first because almost nothing came out of the stock and hand guards. Eventually I saw some seeping out of the rear hand guard. Wiped it down with a some mineral spirits and repeated a few more times, I think I got most of it out of the wood. Then I applied the Tom's 1/3 wax.

After the first coat, it actually darkened up some, I was surprise because from what people were telling me, it was just going to make it have that "wet" look to it.

I ended up putting a few more coats on and it darkened up just a little more. I'm going to put one more coat on there, just to see if it makes any difference and will post up pictures once I finish with the last coat.

SA Field grade(sticky note: would also accept a Service grade SA or HRA) Just hope to have it before the end of the year...

order mailed: 9-18-13

order received: 9-26-13

I got a call that it is on backorder, but the backorder list is way smaller than the HRA SG so I will most likely get a SA FG. Also said they are getting quicker at shipping them out so there should not be a problem getting it by January...

CC hit: 10-8-13

wow if it ships any time soon that would be awesome!

Shipped: 10-11-13

Well...

My first CMP mail-order netted a coupla minty SA Service Grades in CMP chocolate birch for my boys. My subsequent mail-order purchases for myself, my family, and my friends have, over the last coupla years, consisted of Nine (9) Service Grades, all have been USGI walnut, original park, and good bores and muzzles.

...and have netted me these Five (5) keepers.

I'm done.

Dang garandimal.

I'm glad I'm happy with my hra service grade and sa field grade (think the only reason it was a field grade it's the park is a little more worn, as the throat and muzzle wear would make it fit for service grade). Both in gi walnut stocks, though the hra has a chu wood front hand guard that I'm looking for the right replacement.

May have to try for a ihc when they come around, even if it does have to get reg'd.

Well...

I just received the 6-digit and the Barstow, so they are in the clean-up rack.

The VAR is going to get tuned up for a match rifle.

The LEAD-69 is my regular shooter. It was a racker somewhere and is a good-shootin' rifle.

My order was received on 7/15 and still nothing! I did get an e-mail asking if I'd accept a SA SG instead so I told them I would. Hopefully it will be soon!

Got an email yesterday giving me my customer number. Is this DBU? Also, I'm having trouble getting into the estore, it keeps telling me the password they told me to use is invalid. What is the correct format?

mine came in today.
2 x HRA-SG
snail mailed paper work ?
DBU 6-13-13
e-store 7-23-13
CC hit 9-20-13
shipped 9-25-13
Arrived this morning 9-26-13

I had them shipped to work so I didn't have to "explain" anything to the wife.

Both 5.5mil one 8-54 the other 12-54 some dings, scratches and a few gouges. The good news is they both of HRA stocks. One had a Greek reparked black bolt, and was slightly used, the other had all HRA parts except the trigger group and was basically unused. More grease on the wood than the metal. I am happy but sad it will probably be my last CMP purchase. I will shoot them both but will probably end up trading the more used one for a 1903A3.

Probably not 100%. The CMP spells out the requirements in plain English on their website.
