I love it. Besides the fact that I think XDMs look really nice, it also shoots very well. Easy to field strip for cleaning and runs super smooth. I highly recommend getting one through SSE or PPT if you can!

There was an XDm 40 for sale up here in the private firearms section, a little overpriced, but I'd scoop up one in 9mm in a heartbeat.

I just got mine and I love it. Only question I have is if the slide stratches easy? I had it one day and have a very fine stratch on it. My glock I had for a couple years and looks perfect still

Truth be told...too much gun for my hands. It was probably my most accurate gun I had but .45 out of that little gun was not a fun gun to shoot.

Default XD Gallery

Hello!

These are my XDs in 9mm. Not XDS. But the OD is the V10 version, with the ported barrel. I have also painted the stock, white dots with Bright Sights High Visibility "Ghost Glow" paint. Although I have not shot a non-ported XD9, everyone who's shot the V10 noticed much less muzzle flip. To me, the XD is extremely comfortable to shoot.

Xd owners, does the slides on the regular xd models stratch easy? Mines less than a year old and I have little Marks in it. Not sure if the holster kit did it

I've noticed things tend to scratch off into the finish, not the finish per say scratching off. My wifes xd has silver scratches from her rings and it's actually the sterling silver being shaved off into the finish.

By looking it looks like its stratched into slide. Have you tried using something to clean hers off?

No really, nothing besides a rag with some Hoppes #9. It took off a majority of it as it's just basically silver shavings. She wears her rings all the time and it's her pistol plus it doesn't bother the functioning of the pistol.

I hadn't noticed mine (XD9 4") to generally scratch easily from range handling and what not, but after holstering and removing a couple of times from the XD Gear holster, noticed that there were some scratches running along the slide, so apparently the holster is rather capable of scratching it.

Do people look at you funny when you have those 10+ round mags out like that at the range? I only bring my 10ers. Last thing I need is someone asking me why I have high cap mags.

Very easy & inexpensive to make your own blocks if you want to. I did for my 9mm XD-M. They are "Permanent" of course.

I gotta admit the standard XD is a very handsome pistol, much more appealing to me than a Glock or M&P.
