Bruce, are we going to see some "before" and "after" pics?

Danny, I need a serial number.
Also, measure the barrel again. Use a cleaning rod, or anything else that will fit down the barrel until it stops on the bolt face. Make a mark on the rod at the muzzle, and measure from there.

Left out the most important part....S/N is 3090453. And after measuring barrel with cleaning rod, it's actually 16 1/2".

Just had eye surgery, so I'm using up my 5 minutes of computer time.
You have a post 64 16" half magazine Trapper Model, made around 1970-71. The records I have are all pre 1964. Sorry I can't tell you more.

You're only allowed to have one, send one to me immediately before you get in trouble.
Tanman, that one was made in 1905 as well. 1905 serials started at 269817 and ended at 310112.

Oh wow ok. Thank you very much. The first one i purchased is a take down that came with an extra front assembly that has a choke installed. The second one I just purchased was found barried in tombstone az. Going to take a lot of work to restore it but it will be fun. Thanks again.

I have a Model 12 shotgun serial no. 53196. According to the Winchester site, it's a 1913 manufacture. Is this correct?

Nope, but close. Matt your Model 12 was made in very early in 1914, I'm guessing about Feb, with 61,026 made that year.

renardsubtil, I need the whole serial on that one, it's right at the split between Dec of 1912 and Jan of 1913.

Edit: Your photo editing skills need improvement.lol Made Jan of 1913, with 34,688 made that year. The "E" indicated a production change, they did this on most of the models. What the change was, has been lost to history on the majority of them.

Hey Trap, think this one was made much more recently, but I think it'd be cool to know where this one came from.

sixtus, my data ends with the last one made in 1963, number 2,600,500.
Number 3,000,000 was assembled in 1970, and by January of the year 1980, 5,200,000.
Soooo, my best WAG is about 1977?
