Awesome shoot tonight, I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. It was nice seeing a couple of new faces, and especially Mrs. Moving Chicane.

Sorry I didn't have the poker targets, or marksmanship packages tonight, but rest assured they'll be in hand next month!

Oh man, that was Mrs. Moving. I should have asked Dan when I saw him, but I was soooo late and didn't want to interrupt the conversations. I asked and received, yet was clueless. Sorry Dan, next time I'll introduce myself to your better half.

The Purple BLOCK shot pretty well in the hands of the two big BLOCKheads (Chad and Scott) and I'm improving with it, so the free BLOCK might help improve my scoring at the next GSSF match.

Had a great time, first day shooting my new M&P 9mm. I'm a crappy marksman but was getting some really nice groups, about 1/3 the size of the ones with my G17. I bought it to help out a buddy, but now I'm hooked, gotta get some more mags (only had one) and possibly the .45 version...stupid gun addiction...

Good to be back - I hope it's more often than not in the coming months! Too much time in Federal D.C. will drive a person mad!!! And seeing DoubleDip wtih a G19 made me wonder why I haven't pulled the trigger yet on one myself.....

Chad - Hurry up on the opportunity so I can can get some new tools, and you can get some good home cooking!

Choo - She was busy chattin' up Penny's Dad about work, dogs, whateva! She might have been like a McRib at McD's, she was there and may not be back again for a while; "limited time only"! LOL!
(Did I just compare my vegetarian wife to a McRib.....oops!)

Until next month and beyond - take care everyone!!!

Admit it, you like shelling out the extra dough for .45ACP . Well, that and the whole thing about G19's getting more scarce. Even though I have this G19, I think the M&P9 is worth comparing with before buying.

You're welcome to try mine out next time, I should have more than 1 mag for it by then.

It was done in Clay, Alabama. The guy's name is James Nicholas. Yes, he's an XD guy, but he refinishes all types of stuff.

Here is a link to his website.

Here is a link to the gunsmithing page on his webstore. The prices are $55.00 for one color, $80.00 for two colors, including return shipping. His lead time was 2 1/2 weeks to perform the work. I got the slide back in less than 4 weeks (USPS Priority Mail both directions, and the Post Office was slow on the way to AL).

Here is a link to his thread on refinishing examples.

He uses KG Gunkote (that was the finish on the G30).
