Default Results from All Long Distance Advanced Appleseed at Burro

Hi folks,

Last weekend we held the first "Morgan's Company" Advanced Appleseed at Burro Canyon. Long-distance AQTs! Trajectory, sight adjustments, Battlesight Zero, reading and compensating for the wind, slope, temperature, and even moving targets. Good times were had by all... and we welcomed a new Rifleman into the ranks, Dave who finally broke through to earn his patch.

Pictures and other details at the RWVA Forum: http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=36681.0

This shoot went great, so we'll be doing another one in October on the 19th and 20th. This is an advanced class, however, so if you'd like to attend I'll strongly suggest you complete a regular Appleseed first. We're taking a break from the summer heat at Burro but will be back on September 14th and 15th. Then we'll finish up the year in November 16-17.

Drop me a line for more details, or post up here for questions. See you there!

Default KD at Burro on 10/20

Ryan, on the Appleseed site you indicate it is a rimfire kd. Any problem if I bring my unfired 5.56 out for the shoot? Can't wait for Sunday!

Sorry, don't know how I didn't see this yesterday...

You're welcome to bring an AR or Mini-14 or even a Garand if you like. The class is designed for rimfire but the only real limitation is "no steel core ammo."

Since we're only going to 100 meters, you're not likely to see any significant wind drift with 5.56, whereas with .22 LR odds are we will, and it'll give us a chance to practice our calls. Also .22 LR is still cheaper, believe it or not. But you can run what you brung. See you this weekend!
