So...? What's the name of this "well-known company" so I can start bugging them about production?

Since archangel came out with their new stock and detachable magazines, I forgot about this pipe dream. I'm waiting for reviews.

Reviews of the archangel mosin mags? I posted a video twice showing that the 10-round mosin mag had a very weak spring. In at least one case, it took a full second to feed the next round after pulling back the bolt.

Default I Got Mine!!

Actually, I got tired of waiting so i just built my own. Not that i actually need ten rounds in a Mosin but i like a challenge. And it was a challenge, took me a bit longer than i figured... I put about 18 hrs into it. There are some engineering hurdles that had to be overcome but it runs like a top.

It does emulate Doc's design and I had the benefit of seeing the prototype, for sure. But other than that I built it from the ground up. Its really the most natural and elegant style for this type of magazine.

And in authentic Communist Bloc style, it is dramatically overbuilt by forced Slavic labor using crude power tools. 18 gauge stainless steel, shaped using a grinder and an arc welder. This beast is rock solid

Check it out..

Расширение хранения боеприпасов для винтовки Мосина из трех линий, позволяя общей мощностью десять картриджей

Now, I'm like the 5th Lunar landing, nobody remembers those guys names but they got there .... and so did I

*no , I'm not building these and i'm not disseminating trade secrets

Hi Gents,

I was talking to another in the industry today about something unrelated and come to find out that this project is very much alive.

The whole firearms industry is so far behind filling orders that new stuff is slow in coming. Some of you may have seen that I've been playing with a new rear sight here lately. A year ago, I'd have it out by now. Once everything is done that I must do, though, I have a couple hours at most to work on my new ideas.

Same for the future manufactures of this magazine.

The people who are handling this are excellent folks, and it's a bigger company that's firmly established.

The magazine will be here, and in perfect working order.

Regards,

Josh

Lord (I'm actually praying here), Please don't let it be Tapco!

If it is, I'm sure they will figure out a way to attach a picatinny rail(s x3) on it. The last thing I want is a logo of an AR on my Mosins!

Hello,

It's not Tapco. I'm not comfortable saying who it is, but I didn't mean to scare you.

Josh

Josh, when you say, "this project", do you mean Datamancer's magazine, or someone else's Mosin mag extension? Because I'd hate to find out he did all that work only to have someone else muscle in and run with it.

The entire firearms industry is swamped, so once things slow down they'll be working on it more. I think you'll like what they've done with it, though!

Josh

Well, my mag ext is back from paint and body. Came out OK.

If i ever build another one of these I think I'll use a blueable steel, I think that will give it a better look.

Installed it gives a Mosin sort of an AKish look.

Have either of you guys come up with welding two stripper clips together for a ten round to feed into one of these?

Anyone check out ProMag's Archangel Mosin Nagant stock with removable 5 and 10 round magazines? Stock retails for $199 and includes one 5rnd mag.

Today is a sad, sad day. Datamancer has been taken away too early from this world. I hope his friends and family are able to find peace after this tragic loss.

There is some amazing stuff on his website. Take a quick look and you will appreciate how creative Datamancer was. Most people couldn't even dream that stuff up, much less actually build it.

Godspeed on your journey...
